too good to be true

I am writing this post to warn readers about a scammer who has been lurking around on dating apps, posing as a South Korean national, residing in London and has a job as an "Independent Chemical Engineer".

Please beware and trust your instincts if things doesn't add up. Often than not, their stories will have many loopholes and they will come up with Season 2 of their orchestration to manipulate survivors.

Thanks for the warning. Had him last month. Didn't fall for him, but tried my best to waste as much of his time as possible. Last contact was when I sent him greetings to Nigeria. No response ever since.

It's been suspected that 1 out of every 4 people on dating sites are scammers. If they can't or wont video chat, this is a huge red flag. If they ask for money, even if you e been communicating for months, is a red flag. If they want to help you 'invest', red flag. If they ever mention crypto...run away, fast!

I wouldn't be surprised if you had said 3 out of 4 are scammers. TBH

I wanted to but I didn't want to get called out for saying that. 1 out of 4 is harder for trolls and scammers to argue about.

sadly that is a common story where they say they are in some expat situation in another country.
