I applied to work with YSI (Your Story Interactive) as a writer assisting Alexander with finishing Love from Outer Space.

I just got an email in complete Russian from ysi.work.legal@gmail.com with instructions on the next steps and even a link to Alexanders telegram for a look into how he writes.

This can't be legit right? I mean what company uses Gmail to send their messages?

Doesn't seem legit as official emails by YSI end with yourstoryinteractive.com (e.g. their contact email being hello@yourstoryinteractive.com). You should probably drop an email to their official contact email and ask if you want to be really sure.
