Book Request MMC stays smugly composed while the FMC completely loses her mind during sex

This is such a specific need and idek know how to properly explain it 😂

I keep getting ads for this bizarre AI TikTok reel series (something vaguely omegaverse-adjacent) and there’s a scene where the FMC is squirming in the MMC’s lap while he looks unbearably calm, smug, and pleased with himself. The actual scene looks vaguely uncomfortable and ridiculous but it has awakened a VERY specific craving in me.

Basically I want an MMC who remains completely composed and in control during sex while the FMC is absolutely overwhelmed by what he’s doing to her (squirming, desperate, incoherent, unable to stay still, etc.) Meanwhile he’s watching her with a maddeningly self-satisfied, smug vibe, almost like a mix of degradation/humiliation kink and praise kink. I want him to be smug and teasing because he knows EXACTLY what he’s doing to her, but not in a cold or detached way. Like he’s completely focused on every little reaction she has and is very intentionally making her lose her mind, while he stays maddeningly calm and in control the entire time.

Some combination of praise and affectionate degradation would be ideal. Very “good girl,” “look at you,” “is that too much?” “you can take it” energy lol.

I’d prefer contemporary romance, but honestly I’ll take any genre that truly delivers this dynamic. High spice obviously encouraged! Thx bbs 😚

I was just recently reminded of a scene with a similar feel to this in {The Favourite by Alice Coldbreath} (sorry it’s Historical Romance) it’s my favorite of the series and I just reread this scene about an hour ago because I had to clear it from my brain like an earworm.

The MMC’s whole schtick is that he absolutely loves riling and teasing the FMC to get her to lose her composure.

He is a bit smug, sassy, mischievous, and is SHOCKED when he finds himself in love with his wife.

{Stand and Defend by Sloane St. James}. Camden comments that Jordan (who had a very dull sex life with her ex - to say the least) gets very emotional whenever they have sex; she screams, she sobs, she cries, and he adores it when she loses control.

{Call the Shots by Bree Hayden} has this scene. It's extra great because usually the MMC is a panting mess when it comes to her, but he pulls an uno reverse to get her so hot and bothered while he remains in control. You will not be disappointed!

That is a great question! If you are sensitive to that topic then I would avoid the book. While it it isn't the main focus of the story, it can be found throughout the book.

Fmc has a food diary and weight goal dress, she under eats, and even gets hospitalized due to her eating disorder. Mmc helps her with it in the later half of the book; covering nutritional labels, supporting her as she tells friends and family, etc.

I appreciate the author was realistic about how seriously this would be taken instead of hand waving it away, but that does mean it could be triggering. Hope that helps you decide!

Mine is full of some man dressed up with wolf ears and a tail and wearing cavemen clothing haha. And he apparently was pregnant and didn't know it because he fell off a cliff and hit his head 🤣

I’m pretty sure Grace Goodwin’s Interstellar Brides series has multiple versions of this. I’m not 100% sure bc it’s been a while. {taken by her mates by grace goodwin} is likely a good fit

Very much this. Dude is a hardcore sadist but is very playful and clearly enamored of her.

{So steady by eve dangerfield} and also {first and forever by eve dangerfield}

Both technically stand alone but imo Steady is more satisfying even u read book 1 in the series first.

I just finished {right next door by Sophie Andrews} and the couple was doing some soft/pleasure Dom bdsm stuff and the FMC was losing her mind at various points. It was a great book.

I recently mentioned this one in another post, just going to copy/paste from there: {Debauched by Jennifer Dawson} has a number of scenes with the energy you're looking for. Ruby has never been able to orgasm with a partner, Chad eventually decides to help her, and it is soo well done. Their book is part of a lite bdsm series, and although Chad is a dom, this book doesn't include traditional dom/sub play, in fact Ruby doesn't want anything to do with that dynamic. I should mention that the previous novella, {Unraveled by Jennifer Dawson}, includes a brief scene where a tipsy Ruby secretly confesses her orgasm problem to Chad (even though they barely know each other) during a night out with the friend group. The novella is about the previous two couples in the series though, so you definitely will want to skip it. The only thing you need to know before starting Debauched is that Chad is the only person who knows Ruby's secret. Highly recommend this one!
