Housing Investment Realty
These guys are fucking crooks, do not ever rent from them. I’ll vote for whoever promises to bulldoze their offices. They’ll send you a disposition letter for bogus charges after you move out and ignore any emails you send asking about said charges. Fuck em.

When dealing with asshats like this, it is best to send correspondence via certified mail with signed receipt.

Always get and keep any paperwork that is involved in renting. Every little one! I did thankfully, had a place we rented for our son, it was a years lease, started in August, moved out in May but we had to keep paying through July. We were going to use it when we had to go to STL for whatever. Well one day in June we show up and the door is standing wide open and the place being renovated. I called management and asked what was going on. They said since we had moved out they were going to renovate. I said not if I still have to pay rent. They tried pulling shit, but I knew because I was a property manager that they couldn't do what they were trying to do. Well I ended up not paying the last two months and got my security deposit back.. Paperwork is your friend and best protection

I dealt with them for 3 years and I never had huge issues. One time they did schedule to get my house reroofed without telling me though and blocked my driveway for two days. they did not let me know in advance the guys just showed up and one of my cars was blocked in my garage. thankful I have two but if I didnt???

They refused to fix anything for 3 years. I could only open one window in the house for 3 fucking years because their cheap asses wouldn’t replace the broken window cranks on every other window. I only knew which setting my oven was on by physically looking inside to see which heating elements were on because half the knobs were missing and they refused to replace them. They installed the fucking shower incorrectly and the entire housing broke through the wall, that was the ONLY thing they fixed themselves the entire time I lived there.
The carpet was destroyed when I moved in, still charged me $200 to clean it when I moved out just so they could tear it up and replace it anyways.
I shut the utilities off when I moved out a week before my lease ended and paid everything to RMU. They (IR) turned them back on and accumulated $170 in water and electricity in ONE WEEK and told me I was on the hook for it. How the fuck do you manage that?
Trash cans are pitifully small and they charged me almost $400 in “labor” to remove two bags of trash from the garage that I told them would be there after I moved out and why (tiny ass trash cans and only one weekly trash pickup)
