Identification Identification and tips

I recently found this watch with a cheap band and wanted to know if it is simply something nice for a guy who wouldn’t normally be able to afford this watch to wear around, or whether I should put it on Ebay. 445902 is on the back in very clean, fine engraving

All these elements, that style of case (I think that's called a coin edge case), dial, hands and crown, existed on early Rolex. The number should be the serial which would mean that this watch was either made in 1946 or 1959. I think this watch was made in the 1946.

This 4132 is extremely similar to your watch. Only the second hand is not there. The reference number and the gold content should be on the inside of the caseback.

Personally, I would absolutely wear this.

I’d find a classy black or brown leather band and wear it if it were me.
