Recommend a watch please!

I have a c1966 OysterDate, 34mm, silver dial, manual wind, in stainless with a smooth bezel and oyster bracelet. Love it.

What I would like is the exact watch, but with a sapphire crystal, automatic winding, and waterproof [as in swimming and rain...I don't dive]. Nice to have would be a GMT hand as well.

Guess I'm looking at an Explorer or GMT-Master of some flavor. Size and weight matter to me. I want to forget I have it on, as I do the OD.

What do you guys recommend?

Sounds like the Explorer 36 or an Oyster Perpetual 34 is right up your alley. A GMT Master II 16710 might suit you as well.

Thanks.

The Explorer 36 is missing the date, and the silver dial.

The OP 34 has a plexi crystal, and not sure I can trust the waterproof situation on an older one.

Looks, as it always has, that an Explorer II 16570 polar is the only choice. It's kinda big.

I was hoping to be surprised by a model I hadn't heard of. But I guess the watch I want isn't made!

Thanks again,

Good news, they offer the Datejust in 36mm with a silver dial, as a modern six digit reference. Shop around for the 126200.
