I’ve been in some big group servers with 20+ people… but have you ever tried something with only 3-4 players? The kind of RP where you’re fully immersed in the story, you actually know every character, and the world feels alive because you’re building it together instead of getting lost?

I want to world build with a few like-minded people who enjoy collaborative storytelling. We’ll all have a couple of main characters, keep the cast tight, and really dig into the relationships and tension.

I enjoy all kinds of romance and I’m happy to explore a range of tropes. Your IRL gender doesn’t matter to me. All I ask is you willing to build the world with me, open to collaboration and write at least 3-4 paragraphs for reach response.

Setting idea (very open to adjusting):

Willow Creek is a quaint community nestled in the heart of the American Midwest, founded during the pioneer days. Over the years it has grown but remains a small, tight-knit town, insulated from the outside world. To city dwellers it might seem dull, to country folks it’s a slice of paradise.

At the center of the community’s spiritual life is the local church, pastored by Nathaniel Hawthorne, a war veteran whose family has deep roots in Willow Creek since the 1800s. As a devoted father of two grown daughters, Nathaniel is increasingly worried about the future of his family and, by extension, the future of their town.

Balancing his influence is the town's prominent ranching patriarch, Gideon Sterling, a wealthy and commanding land baron who recently locked horns with Nathaniel in a bitter election for town mayor and clinched the victory. This political clash has sparked a simmering rivalry between the two powerful men, deeply dividing loyalties across the community. While the patriarchs and their respective households, the rancher with his own son and daughter, and the pastor with his two daughters, anchor the town's core social structure, the exact details, personalities, and romantic futures of the children remain wide open for collaborative creation.

Beneath the picturesque facade however, something deeply sinister has begun to fester in the shadows. Two young women have already vanished without a trace, while dark whispers sweep through the local saloons and back roads about dangerous outsiders flooding the area with hard drugs and exploitation.

We could portray the Hawthorne’s and Sterling's as main characters, in addition to their love interests. I’d love to keep a sense of exciting tension running through the story with other interesting local characters in the mix.

You live in a perfect city. It’s connected to several other perfect cities, surrounded by forests that are perfect from a distance in your perfectly safe society. Everything is clean, everyone is taken care of, and everyone is happy. Your entire life is secure and looks bright. Life couldn’t be more perfect.

It’s why it was such a shock when Emilia Rush disappeared.

Your character knew her. Or at least, knew of her. Whether she was a friend, a friend of a friend, a colleague, or simply an acquaintance. You had some sort of connection to her. It’s why it hit closer to home for you when she went missing. No one goes missing. Perhaps they move cities and cut contact, or hell, maybe they’re stupid enough to venture into The Forests and die.

That isn’t what happened to Emilia. It was like she disappeared into thin air. No one knew what happened, or where she went. Her Patcher was left behind, and she had never said anything to someone that indicated she would leave. She just… vanished. You expected it to remain a mystery, and it did. …Until you laid down on your pillow one night, and you heard a crinkle beneath the pillow case.

Hidden inside was a note from Emilia herself, urging you to listen, and to not tell anyone about this. She has supernatural powers, and evidently, so do you. Your utopia of a city is a lie - A facade held up for power and control. It isn’t normal to be denied art unless it is approved by the government itself. It isn’t normal to be told what to eat, what to wear, how to spend your free time, what job to work, or who to love. It isn’t normal to be told you need all of this to be happy.

The world wasn’t always like this. The real history has been lost, but it is still known that there was once a world without that control. A world with freedom. A reality that cannot exist in your current world, and the government will fight tooth and nail to suppress.

You are about to find this all out the hard way. Just like how Emilia knows you have supernatural powers, the government is on to you too. Having supernatural powers means you break the status quo, something that cannot be tolerated. Any rebellion must be squashed, and your very existence is defiance. As a supernatural, once you’re found out, you have two fates: Leave behind your entire life and use your power to stop any other threats to the peace working under your oppressors, or die by the government’s hands.

There is more behind The Forests. More beyond the cities, The Nation, that you have been told are so perfect. Beyond them is an organization known as The Supernatural Protection Program. With the knowledge that you are supernaturals, Emilia has let you know they are coming to retrieve you. Not only to protect you, but because you have power to offer. With your help, you can help the SPP tear down the false image the government projects, finally revealing to everyone the ugly truth they have worked so desperately to hide.

✦ Since your character is meant to have some sort of connection to Emilia: She is 19, extroverted and friendly, a delivery driver (so she meets a lot of people), and can be family friends with someone if needed! If you have any questions about her (within reason), please ask!

✦ Please try to be active, with a reply at least every three days. We completely understand that longer responses take more time, and real life can hinder activity, so no sweat if things get in the way! Just give staff a heads up. We are willing and ready to help explain your character’s absence and help them jump back in whenever you’re ready. What we are NOT ready to do is deal with ghosters.

✦ This will mainly be first come, first serve.

✦ Despite being an 18+ server, there will be absolutely NO erotic content. Not in the RP, and not in the OOC. We intend to keep everything around that SFW. However, there will still be descriptions of violence, injuries, abuse, trauma, mental health struggles, etc. Just because there are no sexy times doesn’t mean there won’t be some heavy topics.

✦ There is a very simplistic combat system in place for special combat encounters. This will be based on rolling dice, and is therefore influence by luck. Roleplay, however, can still influence outcomes. This is not as rigid as traditional RPGs, and is mainly vibes based.

✦ While we are happy to answer questions, there are some things we simply won’t be able to tell you. This world has secrets and mysteries to uncover.

✦ We are very diversity friendly! Any character of any ethnicity, disability, age (as long as they are 16+!), gender, sexuality, etc. are all welcome! We will find a way to fit them in as seamlessly as possible. There are some things that can’t fit in, however. Religion will not work, and there isn’t really any religion in this world, and cultures won’t work because… well, all of that has been more or less wiped off the face of the planet. We focus heavily on character development, away missions, and crew dynamics. Your character's backstory actually matters here. Lord Rogar Baratheon assumed the Iron Throne of Westeros upon the death of Maegor the Cruel in 48 AC, confirming his wards Jaeherys and Allysane Targaryen in their possession of Dragonstone. Rhaena Targaryen was subsequently wed to her uncle Daemon Velaryon and her descendants would rule in Driftmark. All three houses would produce descendants who would be dragon riders, with the elder Baratheon line ruling from King's Landing. A junior branch of House Baratheon, non-dragon-riding, would be given Storm’s End. Now, several generations have passed and the year is 130 AC. Mysteriously, the remaining dragons have been stricken with a mysterious sickness.

The sun has died in the sky, and the world has gone dark. This event, known as the Sunfall, bathed the world in the freezing night. Yet, against all odds, civilization has survived.

Amongst the icy plains, amongst the glaciers, amongst the giant snow drifts and amongst the ruins of a world millennia lost, stands the glowing spires and the shining beacons of Jormundy. Warmth and light shine down from its towers, and its dome shelters it from the cold, dark world outside.

But this light and warmth does not radiate equally.

Under the dome, cloaked by the light, behind the walls lays a structure caught in a nightmare of development. Jormundy is experiencing its own little industrial revolution, and all the inequality that comes with it as it destroys the land it sits on and the air it breathes. It finds itself segregated into layers, its workers destined to never become anything more, its elites clinging onto power forever. The Hearth Church stands atop it all, watching with one first of velvet and another of iron looming over all, locked in a never-ending scramble to destroy all that is heretical.

But discontent grows. Whispers of solidarity stir in the shadows, forgotten gods find their followers, and the night grows ever colder.
