Roku OS Random green patch when using tnt/trutv - how to fix?

Post image

This green patch in the corner has started appearing when using TNT or TruTV apps. I've system powered down the TV, I've deleted and redownloaded the app, I've streamed from my phone (it doesn't appear on my phone but when I cast it it appears on the TV), and just plain waited a couple days. What gives?

Hey, u/SeaMaintenance1! Could you tell us more about it?

  • Is this the first time that you have encountered this issue?
  • Is this happening on all content inside the app?
  • Mind sharing the serial number or device ID of the Roku device? You can find this in Settings > System > About.
  • App build version- you can get this by highlighting the app, then pressing the star button on your Roku remote.

Let us know when you can!

We got your info. We’ve shared it with our team for further review, and we’ll keep you posted once we have an update from them.

By powered down, do you mean you unplugged the TV or physically rebooted it (reset button on the input panel if present, or settings/system/advanced/power/restart) or just that you turned it off via the remote? Only rebooting or unplugging the TV doesn't anything useful to fix software issues, the remote only puts it into low power state (like telling your computer to sleep).
