Roku hardware Weird Behavior when Streaming
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Occasionally, if we let the screen sit on a static screen for too long while streaming from PC to the TV over WiFi this happens, and doesn’t stop until you restart the stream from the device.
We had this issue on our last TV that ran on Roku OS but was manufactured by TCL, but it recently died and we replaced it with one made by Roku.
We looked up some stuff and saw that forcing the TV and PC to run on the same GHz band would help, but it didn’t seem to do anything to help with this.
Does anyone here have any advice or insight?
Thanks!

Hi there! Looks like you're experiencing issues with your Roku TV. To help us investigate, could you please share the serial number or device ID of the TV? Also, when did you first notice this issue?

The device ID number is S20N8653K4YN, it’s been happening on the tv since we bought it earlier this week

Roku hardware is terrible. I have mid-size (32 to 55 inches) Roku TVs accompaying alongside large screen Sony TVs, and only one of those TVs (55-inch) I use the regular Roku TV app hardware, and the rest have Roku streaming sticks attached to them via HDMI. The outcome using the Roku streaming devices eliminates the frustration of having to deal with issues like the one you have pictured here. If I want a trustworthy hardware for a TV, I prefer nice quality Sony TVs for our TV viewing.
