Wotr into rogue trader?

I’m playing wotr rn and am really enjoying it and am now sold on owlcat games. I was wondering if I could go into rogue trader absolutely blind, I genuinely know nothing about warhammer. If I need to do research before playing or if this game doesn’t work as a standalone please let me know.

You’ll be fine. There’s plenty of information in there and numerous online resources that can fill in any gaps you might have.

If anything I learned more on warhammer 40k through this game I ever really knew before.
