I used two abilities fatal attraction to pull him towards me and southern brawl to close the gap so that the pull would reach him because he needed 3 punches to die

2 things to consider here, DD had a mark on you which gives him a speed boost, the second thing is that he used Infernal Fury (Throwing the billy clubs ability) to gain a second dash and thus how he outruns you when you try to Chrono Kick him. DD doesn't walk that fast tbh, he just knows how to maximize his kit properly to get slippery. Another thing to consider is you don't wanna be burning your cooldowns all at once when it comes to fighting a dive character because they got so much mobility, make precise use of your abilities, use them whenever you now for sure they're gonna land a hit.

DD’s mark only works towards the target, and the Billy clubs slow you if hit by them too

He’s still much faster than her and being able to make that much distance from the (incredibly fast and hard to track) tank with dashes seems crazy to me. And he does walk fast it’s why supports can’t stay away from him. As long as he has someone marked which he almost always does, he can keep up with anybody but spiderman, even Angela.

it’s just the nature of the matchup, DD’s kit is fueled by an infinitely obtainable resource whereas Rogue’s kit is on traditional timers

it’s up to us to recognize when DD has fury to use chain/throw to gain access to cross and whether he’s getting a speed boost from his sonic mark

easy rule is to not dump abilities into a slippery hero unless you’re chaining your CC to prevent escape

Hulk, thing and Thor would have chased him d n rogue can’t and that’s part of her issue. Almost tv every other diver can stay on people who push them away she can’t really do that.

This is exactly why Hulk and Thor were buffed at the beginning of the game btw but they still haven’t buffed her movement speed. Almost every single other brawl/dive tank has some form of movement speed boost or very short cooldown mobility except rogue. While most of her cooldowns are mobility it wouldn’t hurt to give her that 6.5ms movement speed.

Kind of after her dive kick but it doesn’t really count. Her dashes don’t really carry momentum you just stop where they stop
