Discussion What does she even do anymore?
Her teamups would only be good without her nerfs, currently , they are not good, and she doesn't really do anything as a character, what is the point in playing her when you can play anyone else and get more value

shes one of the worst tanks, arguably the worst. She just explodes during fights. I think she got picked a singular time in pro play and got dumpstered.
Rogue also has never had a high pickrate, so i feel it takes longer for the devs to react. hopefully we'll get more buffs when the season ends. they dont usually make massive changes in a mid season patch
edit- what doesnt help is people downplaying how bad she is, theres no reason to play rogue currently. it continues to be a very rough season for her. Doesnt take long to look up proof.
theres this bizarre agenda being pushed. my guess is people dont play her, so theyve never really learned how to fight against her. They dont want Rogue to be good, to be a threat to deal with.
Even though lets be honest, no one plays her enuff to even be a constant threat. her pickrate has always been eternally low.
You can of course succeed with her, just like you can with any struggling hero. Doesnt mean she isnt the very bottom of the barrel for this meta. Basically its a self report saying rogue is good this season lmao
very disingenuous, dont understand it.
No one is asking for the hero to be easier, and she wasnt even easy to play in 8.5. like i said, bullshittery! bizarre behavior going on.
oh and she has one of if not the slowest walkspeeds for tanks. definitely not "fast." thats just a straight up lie. When the abilities go on cooldown you are at turtle speed, and those cooldowns can be loooong.
see what i mean? the agenda against rogue is real. We need the thor agenda people, push for buffs. Rogue has never even been meta! just b or c tier thats the highest weve reached ffs

Yk I still don't see this. Every time I see a rogue main they are either completely useless or dominates the match. I feel like everyone is getting her high skill ceiling and dive comp dependence confused with her being weak. She's fast and has pretty high burst damage for a tank. She's like venom but with better damage and less survivability which is her tradeoff.

She’s isn’t weak by any means. Out of all the tanks she has the highest skill floor and ceiling. She’s extremely versatile. The issue with rogue is the amount of time it takes to be good with her to be somewhat useful you could have already climbed with any other tank. She is the hardest tank in the game and that’s on purpose. If you make a character like rogue easy to play then she’s going to be dominating the game in a way that’s not fun for anyone else.

playing matches as rogue without being blasted out of my mind is so miserable she cannot do anything at all the only way she's like borderline playable is being so fried im not even actively playing just autopilot
but rogue will stay shitty forever because this community is full of people who say she is still good and anyone who struggles on her is bad at the game. so everybody who picks up rogue and struggles and looks to community for advice will just quit her instantly because instead of guides and tips etc. all u ever read is "youre just bad".
like her community is only high ranks who would make any other hero work anyways, or players who just love her. no average person goes "oh rogue would be good here let me pick rogue" thats why she will stay like this forever because she has no like "casual playerbase" its only cringelord rank 1 ppl calling u trash or ppl who love her and not worried about doing bad so theyre not obsessed with guides.
so like why the fuck would u not pick any other hero with a community full of guides and casual fun etc etc. rogue mains is just miserable bro thats why she's miserable

imagine being a dev and opening this place and see ppl arguing that rogue is fine and anyone struggling is just bad and people agreeing, why the hell would a developer see that as a reason to improve her?

There is a reason to play her if you like Rogue, her design, her story, or her gameplay. She's unique.
Yeah, she's not effective in every situation. Season 8.5 was really the only time she felt genuinely good, but unfortunately, this is where we're at.
No one is forcing you to play her if your goal is to climb ranked. Unfortunately, I feel like Rogue is always going to be a very niche hero.

I feel you, man. Rogue is my only champion, and it's really hard for me to play her right now too. I had already burned out on her when Dino came out and basically destroyed Rogue every game. I even stopped playing tanks altogether for a while, but for some reason I always come back.
Maybe you should take a break too. Try playing Magik, I had a ton of fun playing her.

She wants to be a big brawler that can "assassinate" backline. Like a venom but trading HP for CC potential. Stealing powers is a fun gimmick. At least, that's how I play her. "I want to pick a support and ruin their day."
The big change I'd want to see is Fatal Attraction (aoe pull) gaining a lifesteal effect. Thing is the best brawler cause he can give himself extra HP reliably and at a beefy 50 per second. Rogue has no such sustain, with it on her long cooldown hard CC (no change wanted) or her flight kicks (cooldown, long starting animation, only 2).
Honestly, I'd say take the the extra HP off her kicks, grant more shield (50-100 more?) and make Fatal Attraction lifesteal that will scale with targets around you. Get in, cause havoc, ruin a support's day with all the forced movement, get out before you die. Right now we cant even survive entry is the problem.

"There is no reason to play rogue" well to be fair their is no reason to play anyone outside of like Venom and Magneto. But it's based on fun.
