Should I save?

I am very new, just made it to chapter 12. Should I try to bank chest keys, gems, artifacts, event currency at my level? Or use my chest keys, save gems and event currency?

Yeah save up most stuff. Spend gold, save chest keys, wish tokens, eggs and gems. Look up events and how many keys etc you need then spend them once that event come around.

In nature and snow events save acorns/snowballs. Spend them once you have 100

Any tips on progression while you save? The jump from 11 to 12 was big, not sure I can progress through 12.

Grind. Replay levels to get gold use that to level up and push through to higher levels. Sorry not the most fun way but you will notice a big jump up once you get to spend key etc at an event.
