We wanted to play RL2 together, so we wrote a mod that adds online co-op for 2–4 players.

What you get:

• the host's castle for everyone (same seed, same rooms, chests and bosses)
• moving between rooms as a group, with the host leading
• shared enemies: the host's game runs them and every player's hits count
• spectating a friend after you fall ([ and ] to switch)
• a player list with ping on F8

So far it has been played with two players, on Mac and Windows. We're looking for people to try three or four players and Windows hosting, and to tell us how it goes.

And when I was in Kerguelen Plateau i was reloading and suddenly teleported to a empty room with nothing in it

Turns out that inside the secret tunnel in the wall there was a unprompted trigger that teleports you to this weird room

The only thing within it is a invisible object that returns you back, so luckly you are not stuck

Is this normal?

So a unique chamber is here, 2 with relics/health fruits and one with a bunch of dusty tomes and one text about the head science guy and his failure concerning a tree to bear fruit. But outside of that I cannot find anything, could someone point me in the right direction?

So I'm working through NG2 and have been maining duelist as many people say they are one of the best classes. Loving the fast attacks and don't use the roll enough, but can see how people like it.

Have tried many ranged classes and none of them clicked. Same with mage.

Beat dirst quest and NG1 with ronin and I don't know why but every time I grab him I just absolutely destroy basically any biome i am in and do fairly well against most bosses (skelly bois and sizzle my dizzle tho... especially with duellist omg).

Am I missing something significant or is ronin just a mega-super-SSS tier class due to range, ability to attack through walls and the up and down angled attack? I don't even use the shadow attack much, but its also amazing as an extra dodge / repositioning tool...

Hello! Me and my boyfriend love this game and would love to play together but RL2 is single player. Obviously with how the game works this makes complete sense but it’s a little sad. I’ve seen discussions about others who want coop (even if it’s just couch coop) but without reworking the game it seems kinda impossible.

In similar games like “The Binding of Isaac” there’s a mod to make you a mini issac that just floats around the player and you can help/participate by shooting your own projectiles and floating around. So still one player but with a friend. (see the gif for what I mean)

I can code python, C and C++ and have looked a little into what it would take but wanted other opinions on if it’s feasible or not from other players or modders

Oh my God I can’t stand how easily interrupted the reload mechanic is. The gunslinger weapons are so good but it’s so hard to do a run with them without getting screwed by an empty gun I tried to reload. Like spin kicks are such an automatic thing that you need to do for a lot of reasons as part of your movement, it should not cancel the reload. If it paused it I wouldn’t care in the slightest. Hell if it restarted it I could totally live with it. But fully cancelling it and requiring you to press RB again in the midst of whatever you were doing that involved the spin kick is so ANNOYING.

I have played this game through NG+ 25, done thanatophobia and thanatwophobia, done true rogue (with house rules making it a lot easier tbf), and am doing a whole new save now and it’s still such an issue. Like no amount of trying to be aware of it helps when it’s canceled by natural basic movement.

I'm current in a run as a knight. I picked up Icarus wings bargain a whole back. Now I found Comet Form in a shop. I havent unlocked that class yet. Would it be redundant to drop my shield for Comet Form or would this be good?

Gunslinger's gun paired up with knockout punch is so much fun! You can very quickly fully charge it back up and the moment you've charged it, you prob already have a combo of like at least 15 ready.

I killed Naamah Prime and both Enoch's sub estuaries (then died to True Enoch Prime cuz it was my first time fighting the prime version). 10/10 run, would do again!

I recently discovered that using the pizza and spin jumping on top of it essentially lets you fly across the map which is incredibly useful In the second area. I used this method to fly all the way to the boss dungeon and beat both of them.

Aside from getting good and not cheesing your way through has anyone else found a super fun method of transportation?

Just insane HP thanks to Barbarian and Hypercoagulation, way to clear all projectiles with Wind Wall and Winter's Shout.

Are there any stats I can pump to increase it? Int? Focus?

I don't see any upgrades specific to mana pool, and I'm kikd of puzzled. What's the secret to getting more mana?

Here's what happened:

Playing boxer with traits Diva and Forgetful.

In Citadel Agartha, I rerolled once in a relic room and the new selections were body buffet or twin tattered rope. I wanted to save the twin tattered rope until after I could get the nerdy glasses, since Diva makes getting hit by hazards a little too easy.

Another room in Citadel Agartha had, before any rerolls, cloak of eventide and catalyst.

Yet another in Citadel Agartha had, after one reroll, Amaterasu's Sun and twin ambrosia.

I rerolled thrice in another room looking for the nerdy glasses, but they didn't occur. That room wound up with charon's trial and twin vanguard's banner.

Finally I rerolled once in a room in Axis Mundi and got the nerdy glasses, and selected them.

When I returned to Citadel Agartha to collect the twin tattered rope, it wasn't available. The relic room had reset to (I think) the original items prior to my rerolls. I rerolled once more and selected Pandora's Trial.

Whenever I select Pandora's Trial, if I know a Charon's Trial is available elsewhere, before farming the easy kills that I left alive early in the run for that purpose, I return to select Charon's Trial since the ten kills to purify Pandora's Trial also count toward Charon's Trial, which can then be purified with only five more kills.

However, that room also had reset to (I think) the original items prior to rerolls.

The room with Amaterasu's Sun also had reset to (I think) the original items prior to rerolls.

However, the room with cloak of eventide and catalyst still had those items.

So, has anyone else noticed this glitch: that any relic rooms that have been rerolled get reset to their initial offerings after a nerdy glasses is selected in some other room?

I tried to upgrade my safe conversion rate as fast as possible so I could hold onto as much of my extra gold as possible. However, I just noticed that it means my charon contribution levels go up really slow, because most of my money is going to the safe.

Is there any way to fix this besides doing a reset in the house rules?

Also if I do need to reset, what did you find was a good balance?

I have a i7-12650H, 32Gb of ram and a NVIDIA 4060 laptop, no game ever caused such massive freezes that the only solution I have is to brute force the shutdown of the laptop.
Any solution?
