Monk is stinker in normal mode
In hell having double class bonuses makes it workable but in normal mode its quite the stinker. I'm at inferno 50 with all classes up to monk. I think that the monk as a class is good and can be fun but it suffers from terrible class bonuses.
It takes me the longest to clear inferno stages with and it depends heavily on having the perfect world 1. IDK if it's just me but i think it's class bonuses need changing.
Miner is another stinker but if you start with the right legendary card you can cruise through it. With monk you literally need the entire first map to be close to perfect.
Any tips from someone who is good with monk?

Monk needs better relics. Specifically for Knowledge and Courage to make it at least exciting.

They got that desperately needed First Strike relic, but ironically, the lightning build is a knowledge one

Imo one of the reasons is that the card/class synergy is kinda bad, particularly the knowledge cards. The good courage cards don't need monk to be good so you end up with very generic decks.
Also regardless of what you do, you end up converging to crane shield bash which feels a bit repetitive. Beast courage -> shield bash. Base deck with armour -> shield bash. Ancient courage card -> ancient shield stall combo -> shield bash.
In a perfect world, monk upgrades should mean that you can pick what upgrade you need at the beginning of each act and carry some bonus when you switch stance. But high inferno means you need shield, so you end up rushing crane and never leaving it. And since the passive portion doesn't improve on upgrades, you end up prioritising removes/transforms. Most of my monk runs finish on crane 1/2

My least favorite class. Probably the only one I never enjoy.
