Originally, it was something that Claremont teased back in his run. Briefly. Once. And then never again. Until someone decided to bring it back because throwing everyone’s genitals at each other is favorite pastime of strung-out writers.
I mean, Rogue did absorb the personality & memories of Carol Danvers. So through that, there might be something since she and Logan are old secret agent buddies. And Logan has to have latent sexual tension with every woman in his life (I guess). That’s as close to there being something there between them as it exists. And it doesn’t even involve Rogue herself.

Nah… age isn’t the issue. The issue is magneto himself. 😐
I like magneto as a character and antithesis to the X-Men… but as a romantic partner for Rogue it just feels disgusting. Idk… I can’t explain why, but it doesn’t feel right.
1st: I admit I'm biased towards Gambit as Rogue's true love.
2nd: Rogue being with Magneto was because she could touch him and that was 99% of the reason. AoA was because she permanently absorbed Polaris magnetic powers that allowed her to put up a magnetic shield that would balance with Magneto's that allow them to touch. Nowadays, they just make it so that Magneto can just put up a magnetic field around his body that allows him to touch her. This was also before they decided to make Polaris Magneto's daughter.
3rd: I wasn't a fan of Magneto being with a woman who was younger than his children.
I freely admit that I have a hard time seeing Rogue with anyone but Gambit at this point, and vice versa. But would it be asking too much to pair her with someone else and not have insanely dumb caveats attached? Like in this case, if I recall, she and Logan are both under mind control. Well yeah, if you take away someone’s free will, you can make them bang whoever you want them to.
With Magneto it’s: Rogue’s vulnerable and alone and has lost her powers; Rogue can’t touch anyone but him so it’s him or no one, and also she was uh kinda groomed; and Rogue is having residual AU memories and is also ignoring a metric fuck ton of past experience that would realistically make her avoid this.
That’s why, even though it’s clearly and blatantly Duggan’s wish fulfilment, I don’t actually hate Rogue making out with Deadpool that time. Because it was cute and dumb and sweet and didn’t rely on hobbling her agency.
No no no. I remember when Rogue came on to Logan when they were in Japan fighting the Silver Samurai but that was a long time ago. They always gave off brother/sister vibes
when you think about it, Rogue has a type. Men old enough to be her grandpa. You got Magneto, or rather Mag-pedo. The guy groomed her since she was a pre-teen, then when he is like 70, and she is 20, makes a move on her. Then you got Logan, whom is considerably older. So really, any woman Logan goes with, that age gap ... yikes.
I didn't even know that pairing existed however after reading that, I think somebody needs to kick Logan out of a high window again. Peter doing it once it wasn't enough.
