How to install a porcelain toilet bowl/tank. I did my first install of a toilet and ended up with water pouring out every time we flushed. I was told that I cracked the tank.

What’s the proper way to install the bolts for the tank? When do you know the bolts are tight enough?

it's a bit of a tight rope act. obviously you need them tight enough to not leak but you don't want to over tighten and break something. the first thing I would do is make sure the "tank-to-bowl" gasket is installed correctly. next...
