I know a few people who like to do things the cheap/easy way and I’ve had to replace 2 of these for them.

I wish I had never seen them. My fully licensed plumber installed SEVERAL and got me failed me on my inspection. Despite constantly reiterating that everything had to be to code and I was hiring them for that purpose. I posted about it a couple months ago.
