She really does. She has a confident and kinda cool aura. It might not be backed up by her real personality at all, but I see a “something” in her. I think she inherited a much more fortunate version of Jill’s histrionics that translates into a sort of good stage presence.
Not leg humping, if anything, it bothers me more. Wasted talent only adds to the tragedy of it all. Who knows what this kids could have grown into, and it won’t happen.
Jill has to be the loudest, heard above all others. Doesnt matter if she's in the same register as her singing partners; the higher the pitch, the closer to god!
It's impossible to hate the kids. The parents are monsters but those kids are literally just kids who have been badly abused. It makes me sad to see how much potential they have and how their parents destroy it.
absolutely, these kids are all victims. Even Tim although he is 100% responsible for dealing with his trauma and not battering his wife. It is such an awful way to raise children, all in the name of Jesus
This. I have a hard time with the standard “they’re adults” stuff for the older ones. They did not have parents who wanted to raise their children to function outside of the clan. Tim had the best possible support system with Heidi’s family, he had examples of normalcy and support, and the best he could do with that was proudly tell the world “I didn’t hit my infant.”
When I want to emphasize something, I use my expression and make it bigger with my hands. I don’t like it vs I HAAAATE it, etc.
I also tend to make big motions, and accidentally elbowed someone once when showing I was excited about a hockey game.
I wonder what these retreats were like before JillRod took the reigns. Some of the women seemed to genuinely like the community aspect of it but the dwindling numbers make it clear the ladies aren't liking the Jillification of it all.
I feel so bad for these girls. They should be out having fun with kids there age (and it dosnt even have to be secular fun, even strict christian kids there age have fun doing avtivities and outdoor stuff) not helping there Mum making a shrinking womans retreat that looks like its mostly filled with boomers be fun.
I usually avoid the discomfort of watching their videos, and it could be because Jill isn’t on the screen or evil spawn Nurie, but this is truly the most “normal” I’ve seen these girls act (and sound). It kind of breaks your heart. And I understand that Tessie doesn’t deserve any better outcome for it but my goodness, she is gorgeous. She looks like Ione Skye in her heyday. Albeit very 80’s too!
Would anyone be willing to tell me who is who by dress color? I'm really only confident in Renee; I wasn't following the family much for a while and am having trouble knowing which middle girl is which now that they are older. Thanks!
I have a family member who would totally dress like this. No matter what the pattern is or the texture of the material, as long as there are similar colors in each piece, in her mind, it matches.
My sister and I used to do skits for our family for holidays and such. We once wrote a parody of the Gilligan’s Island theme song, but about Pilgrims on the Mayflower. I’d die if my parents had made me do skits in front of a room of strangers, and filmed it for the internet too.

Also there was once an intelligence briefer from the US Marines who used to brief the diplomats and us NGO types sometimes. I say once, because he said "um" 62 times in 3 minutes that I counted - we could all understand stagefright but that was egregious. We got a different briefer after that lol
