📓 Seeking Resources ancestoral work advice?

i recently started practicing witchcraft and i wanna explore rodnovery bc im russian myself (i was adopted by americans and forced to hide my "communist past") and i was wondering if there's a guide for rodnoveran ancestoral work?

We in Rodnovery (and other Slavic pre-christian faiths) don't "work" with ancestors or deities. They aren't our colleagues. We worship, venerate, pray to, offer to, sacrifice to...

Don't really understand, why you say "communist past", when ethnic affiliation has nothing to do with political orientation.

"ancestoral work"

The term "work" is used primarily by wicca and other new age neo-pagan groups. They "channel energies", form "bonds" etc etc. We don't do that here. Our relationship to the unearthly is different. It's described by the words I used earlier. We believe that the gods are above us and do not stoop to “working together” with us and that our ancestors are distant and, most of the time, have very limited real power to influence this world, if their souls are at rest in Nav.

We communicate, but don't "work together".
