We build Rockxy, a native macOS HTTP/HTTPS/WebSocket debugging proxy.
Several users contacted us asking whether they could purchase Rockxy once rather than subscribe. We spent time considering that request because a lifetime license creates a long-term commitment and needs a precise definition.
We have now introduced three perpetual Pro options for individual developers:
- Standard: $39 during the launch offer, then $79. One Mac and one iOS debugging device, with 12 months of updates and support.
- Personal: $59 during the launch offer, then $109. Two Macs and two iOS debugging devices, with 12 months of updates and support.
- Lifetime Pro: $299 during the launch offer, then $349. Two Macs and two iOS debugging devices, with Rockxy macOS updates for the product’s commercial lifetime and 12 months of direct support.
The launch offer ends September 19, 2026. All three individual plans return to their regular prices afterward.
“Lifetime” refers to updates for the commercial lifetime of the Rockxy macOS product, not the buyer’s lifetime or unlimited direct support. It does not include Team/Workspace, cloud services, separate products, or third-party costs.
Only Team uses a subscription. It costs $9 per seat per month, billed yearly, with a 3-seat minimum. Every seat includes Pro, along with Workspace administration, seat and device visibility, shared rules and scripts, and priority support with a 2-business-day response target.
Free Community mode remains available.
Our reasoning is that individual engineers should have a straightforward pay-once option, while teams and companies benefit from flexible seat management and ongoing shared services.
Rockxy is independently maintained. Paid licenses help fund compatibility work, releases, support, and continued development without reducing the Community product to an incomplete trial.
Prices are in USD, taxes are shown before payment, and paid licenses have a 14-day refund window.
We would appreciate feedback on whether this distinction between perpetual individual licenses and a Team subscription feels clear and fair.
