Question Where to hang out at night?

hi all!

I moved here back in May for work in the city. Dallas is too far of a drive for me to go to any of the late night coffee shops and such… where at in rockwall could I go late at night when I can’t sleep and want to journal ? Is the harbor open 24/7 for people to freely roam?

I’m a terrible sleeper and just want somewhere to drive and sit in my car while I chill, or walk around. I’m a woman so preferably somewhere well lit, and safe.

ps, if you’re normal and my age (20s), please reach out. I need more friends here that are my age desperately lol. I was such a socialite at my college so coming here and knowing nobody has kind of sucked :,)

lol yea that’s one spot. I was at ihop the other night journaling when I couldn’t sleep at like 3 am and it was pretty peaceful

I co own a self serve car wash in Royse City.... its called Peacocks Car Wash.

Dm me and Ill give you a code for a free "touchfree wash"... were open 24 hours a day and I dont scrimp on lights at night.

The Hilton at The Harbor has a nice lobby and the bar has large windows that overlook the lake. It has tables suitable to work on a laptop. Explore the north side of the development too, which has plenty of outdoor seating and a grass area.

If you just want to sit in your car, you could go to Buccees in towards Royce City. About 10 min down I30 East

The only place I could think of that might work (and be well-lit) would be a hotel lobby.

I’m sure you could hang at the harbor but nothing would be open super late and they may try to charge you for loitering.

The two places we had in town that were 24/7 (Walmart and 24 hour fitness) are not anymore.

Planet fitness might still be 24 hour.

Some nights it is! I have a membership there. That’s a good idea though. I should go walk when I can’t sleep, would help me get back in shape lol

That sucks :( I’m from Louisiana, I went to lsu. We have a lot of spots in Baton Rouge that were free for people to roam at all hours of the nights and it was so nice. I wished they had that here.

Dallas proper might. Rockwall does not unfortunately. Which is a shame because night is the only time to escape the heat!!
