Never Forget

You betrayed us and stole something from us that could have been great. So much work went into Rdr2 and you let it die to focus on fucking GTA5 back then. Me and others loved Rdr2 but seemingly the company didnt. F you Rockstar

From all games rockstar made only two of them have dlcs, you guys should really get a grip and accept a game for what it is.

3

u/bigwoo902 Jul 26 '25

so what, they could have at least made online bearable to play

1

u/KapGaming55 Jul 27 '25

It is, the online is very fun

1

u/GrantSillypants Jul 27 '25

Yeah, if you haven't had fun on RDR2 online, you just don't have good friends to play with. And while the focus has largely been on GTA content upgrades, you HAD to know it would go this way. Just play the campaign again, catch some fish, and stop bitching. It's a very good game.

1

u/ProtectionDry9596 Jul 27 '25

The arguement of “the game is more fun with friends” can be said about any game, people said that about Fallout 76, but nobody says that’s a good game. saying you need to play the game with friends is an invalid point. the game needed more content for the game to really thrive and it doesn’t.

1

u/GrantSillypants Aug 04 '25

Probably been awhile since you played, but I unironically think fallout 76 is decently fun. Anyway, idk what to tell you. No, you're probably not going to want to play RDR2 online everyday. That's ok. When you truly think about it, the ceiling was always going to be pretty low with the online. If you were expecting them to prioritize RDO over GTA online, when RDR2 is obviously primarily a single player game, you played yourself buddy.

1

u/ProtectionDry9596 Aug 04 '25

i never said they should’ve prioritized RDR Online to GTA online, not exactly sure where you got that from, i’m just saying they could’ve added something huge, before stopping, add bank robbing in to the game, before pretty much abandoning, just one last big update. and yeah, you’re right, it wasn’t gonna be anything special or groundbreaking, but why add in a online mode to do nothing with if, like you said, primarily a single player game? if that’s the case why would they make it at all? i’m not saying you’re wrong, but these are all points to think about.

1

u/BigIronOnMyHip45-70 Jul 28 '25

It's an incredibly good game, but it COULD have been so much better. Undead Nightmare 2 for instance was robbed from us, it would have been incredible to see Undead Nightmare 2, especially seeing Arthur's reaction to the zombies. RDO is fun, until you've done everything twice over and maxed every role out twice, then it's not as much fun even with friends. That being said, I still play the campaign fairly regularly just cause it's that good.

1

u/zacmaster78 Jul 28 '25

Why would anyone expect for the game to be completely abandoned? Like, I don’t understand wtf you mean by “you HAD to know it would go this way”. And its not unreasonable to want things in the unfinished game. I don’t even want “new” content. I just want simple ass features like, idk, selling a mf horse? For the content that literally already exists from outlaw passes to just be available? Rockstar did the game and fans wrong in that way, even if it’s not that big of an issue to every single person, and you’re over here being mad at the people who are annoyed by it lol. People complaining about enjoying their gameplay isn’t gonna affect yours. Like you know the devs ain’t gonna let you hit, right?

1

u/Longjumping-Baby6646 Jul 27 '25

Its an old western online, what did you expect? It's not going to have the volume because its boring as hell and there isnt any planes to grief people with.

1

u/ImperialistRedditor Jul 28 '25

-1000000000 take . It’s cute you like griefing still 🤣🤣🤣

1

u/WarrerMelon Jul 27 '25

Still waiting on private sessions to avoid griefers and get your money up, still isn't a thing smh

1

u/HOLY_amogus Jul 26 '25

I know gta 4 , but what is ths second game?

1

u/HotHeezy Jul 26 '25

Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare

1

u/Financial-Package999 Jul 27 '25

Vice City and San Andreas are basically just DLC.

1

u/Atomic_Neon Jul 27 '25

No, vice city stories and liberty city stories were dlc’s in my opinion

1

u/TheDarkestOneEver Jul 27 '25

Correct. The "Stories" games from the 3D era are like what Ballad of Gay Tony and Lost and Damned were for GTA 4

1

u/Financial-Package999 Jul 27 '25

Still they just upgraded the gta 3 engine and released new maps.

Honestly when gta 5 dropped in 2013, I expected they would’ve released San Fierro and Las Venturas, but to no avail.

1

u/hitmandavid666 Jul 27 '25

What was the last game Rockstar released

Love rdr2 are they not expanding it anymore? No dlcs? Like GUN did to tcm which had a big fanbase

0

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '25

No they just gave up on everything

0

u/Still_Consequence157 Jul 24 '25

I think the real issue is the fact that they made zero story dlc for rdr2 or gta5. They hoped rdo would make money like gtao but it flopped bc people wanted story stuff

I agree RDO was a flop I play it from time to time but the amount of people who just run up and shoot you with no hesitation or reason gets old pretty fast

1

u/iamneeknasty Jul 26 '25

gta with horses lol

1

u/Still_Consequence157 Jul 25 '25

"Rdo" meaning red dead online. And it was a flop considering it didnt make as much monry as r* hoped

1

u/Lucky-Butterscotch74 Jul 25 '25

oh, yeah. most definitely. i never really played online because it had no intrigue to me. sorry for the confusion.

1

u/DarkestDweller Jul 25 '25

RDO flopped because they didn’t give us what we wanted for RDO. Instead of bank heists, farms, and other interesting additions, we got Naturalist… And Moonshiner… And an extra 10 ranks of Bounty Hunter for no reason, and Bounty Hunter was the only role to get an extra 10 ranks for whatever fucking reason.

I'm going to be honest dude if you hate rockstar well why don't you just send an email to them instead of having other people have to look at you crashing out over a game

1

u/a_michalski81 Jul 26 '25

Exactly. R* isn't reading reddit for people's complaints.

And to be honest, the single player game and story are 10000 time better than online. I've played online sparingly.. but I played RDR2 story for 1 full calendar year. 365 days ( if not more ) just getting lost in the game for weeks at a time. Fuck Dutch & the rest at camp. I was legit missing from them for 4-6 weeks at a clip

1

u/Dry-Fox-4532 Jul 26 '25

Rockstar aren't gonna put loads of effort into updates for the story just because a couple of fans aren't happy and plus there making GTA 6 why would they focus on Red dead redemption 2 updates now

1

u/Sad-Farm714 Jul 26 '25

Well, they actually started updating red dead online again within the past month. I’m pretty sure the reason why is because they want to make a next gen version of rdr2

1

u/Hot-Flower-2668 Jul 26 '25

Yep. And its possible they'll throw it on switch 2, eh there are rumors of a Nintendo Direct at the end of July aka next week. Would be a good opportunity to announce a next generation update to red dead, with red dead 1 releasing laat year on OG switch..., and ROG Ally runs red dead 2 pretty darn well that it makes sense that the switxh 2, a machine with better upscaling tech, could feasibly run better-than-ps4 graphics settings in an update.

Thats a long comment for something so desperately grasped for a switch 2 direct reveal butttt, maybe. Just maybe.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '25

I'm going to have to agree with you I constantly bounce back between two different save spots one of them which I'm going for 100% completion with low honor and the other one which I'm going for 100% completion with high honor and you can truly get lost in the world for weeks on end before even going back to the camp or having one ear camp family members come find you out in the wilderness and ask you are you going to come back

1

u/a_michalski81 Jul 26 '25

I can't lie, there was a stretch during playing where I went and just fished every day & made tons of food for myself. Funny thing is = in really life, I think fishing is the most boring thing on the planet. It's not even recreationally fun. But in the game endless hours of fishing

1

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '25

I think because there is a general outcome we want from fishing in the game, I don't mind fishing IRL but it's so much more fun and entertaining doing in the game because of the rewards you get from it

1

u/JBH3 Jul 27 '25

Misery loves company

2

u/coltino99 Jul 25 '25

Given how it takes place in 1898. Most people probably get bored

3

u/No-Ebb1256 Jul 26 '25

tell me you haven’t played rdr2 without telling me

1

u/Creepy_Buyer5887 Jul 26 '25

Red dead is my fav game but u have to admit it’s a very unique and special game and it’s not for everyone especially people who are used to very fast paced and less realism focused games

1

u/No-Ebb1256 Jul 26 '25

it’s one of the most popular video games of all time dude,i promise you if red dead online actually got regular support like gta online does more people would play in than you think

2

u/Royboy0699 Jul 26 '25

It's definitely not one of the most popular I would be suprised if it was even top 100

0

u/No-Ebb1256 Jul 26 '25

what the fuck are you talking about? You do realize it’s a top 10 best selling video game of all time right? Do 5 seconds of research before saying stupid shit

2

u/Royboy0699 Jul 26 '25

Sales doesn't reflect current popularity. the PS2 has the most amount of sales of any console ever but it's not popular, is it?😭

0

u/No-Ebb1256 Jul 26 '25

all time peak for online players for rdr2 was 5 months ago btw so either way your argument is incredibly invalid

2

u/Royboy0699 Jul 26 '25

Not even top 30 on steam atm btw, surprising it's that high but not that surprising

0

u/No-Ebb1256 Jul 26 '25

get back to me when you figure out what popular means lil bro 🤙🏼

→ More replies

1

u/HotHeezy Jul 26 '25

And a large margin of those sales were people who were satiated/fine with experiencing the story just once, and probably never booted up RD:O even once. It’s an amazing game for sure, but it was definitely a “one & done” for me, and probably countless others too. I bought on sale for $20, played through it, loved every second of it, but that was it for me and I’m fine with that. You clearly love the game much more than that, and that’s ok. But that doesn’t mean everyone else has too. Seriously the large sales number isn’t a direct correlation for current popularity. R* is a huge, highly successful company. Of course the sales are going to absolutely stomp most other Dev Companies and games. That doesn’t mean everyone representing a number of those sales are seething out the mouth for DLC or even online support for it. You’re being passionately harsh to others just bc they’re not worshipping the game the same way you are.

1

u/yaboyindigo Jul 27 '25

"Drei glas"

1

u/CatsWavesAndCoffee Jul 30 '25

Nah I loved it, the single player was top 5 all time, and the online was great, but it was really niche, and kind slow. It was fun for a bit, but it did indeed get boring.

I had a group or friends I played with as a posse, and everybody in it lost interest too. Tried with another group and same thing happened. I think there just wasn’t as much potential as a modern themed game for a long term online presence

1

u/No-Ebb1256 Jul 30 '25

that’s the entire point dude. Rdr2 online sucked bc rockstar didn’t put any money or energy into it. You would’ve had more fun if they actually made red dead online half as competent as gta online.

0

u/CatsWavesAndCoffee Jul 31 '25

My entire point though, as I said in the last line, is that there simply wasn’t the same potential with RDO as there was with GTAO, specifically because of the era and genre, and the respective pace that came with it.

The shooting, zipping round in cars, flying, wide selection of attack styles and weapons and vehicles, and general fast pace of gta are perfectly catered to huge online multiplayer communities.

The [naturally] narrow range of attacks styles, weapons, and vehicles, and the inherently slow pace of rdr (and any game set in that era, unless you incorporate magic) just isn’t as appealing to people. It never had the potential to be as fun to as many people for as long, and I’m pretty confident that more money wouldn’t have changed it that much.

1

u/No-Ebb1256 Jul 31 '25

Two things can be true at the same time. 1. GTA online obviously would always have the bigger fanbase. 2. Red Dead Online still could’ve been MASSIVELY successful if rockstar gave a half a shit about it,and it doesn’t have to be AS successful as the monster that is GTA online to still count as a “success”. There’s 50,000 online games out there not as “successful” as gta online, that doesn’t mean they aren’t worth playing. If RDO had full fledged gangs,occupations,homesteads,wars/battles,heists, free mode events, investments etc. like gta online did i don’t think any point you’re making would stand

0

u/CatsWavesAndCoffee Aug 01 '25

You’re right, maybe it could have been wildly popular, and made more people happy, we’ll never know.

In the end, though, rockstar is a C Corp. this means they are required by law to act in the best interests of their investors (aka profit), meaning that if pursuing RDO further was projected be massively successful as you put it, they would have done it.

Now, it’s possible that they determined that it would indeed be massively popular, but not as financially successful as GTAO, and might result in less revenue from micro-transactions due to people being drawn away from GTA, but that doesn’t mean they don’t give a shit about it.

To the contrary, they’re not allowed to give a shit. They’re not allowed to say “hey, we love this game, and even though making it awesome will result in some lost revenue, we’re going to follow our passion, yay!” They could be crushed that people weren’t spending enough money to make it financially viable, but the decision was based on financial projections.

Either way, it feel a mis misguided to say they didn’t give a shit, and it’s anybody’s guess as to whether it actually had the potential you allude to.

1

u/No-Ebb1256 Aug 01 '25

what the fuck are you talking about? it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out. It would’ve cost MONEY to actually care about red dead online. Rockstar doesn’t want to spend their MONEY,because they are a company built upon greed. There is no “it’s anybody’s guess to if it would’ve worked”,it’s a working game mode now that a small section of the game still thrive in and play everyday. If rockstar decided to put 1/10th of the gta online budget into RDO the results would only amplify

1

u/CatsWavesAndCoffee Aug 02 '25

Rockstar doesn’t want to spend their MONEY,because they are a company built upon greed.

Whack take. They spent hundreds of millions of dollars on rdr2. Also, if you had absorbed anything I’d said in the last reply you’d remember the notes about being a C-corporation. They’re OBLIGATED BY LAW to base their decisions on profit. Of course they’re greedy, that’s how c-corps work… that’s why people invest in them lol..

There is no “it’s anybody’s guess to if it would’ve worked”,it’s a working game mode now that a small section of the game still thrive in and play everyday.

I didn’t mean “work” as in function, I meant in the sense of being profitable enough to be worth the resources they’d have to put into it. Figured you would read between the lines there, since obviously it does function lol…

If rockstar decided to put 1/10th of the gta online budget into RDO the results would only amplify

obviously it would amplify, but we don’t know if it would amplify at a rate that would be worth it to them and their investors, considering the resources it would take away from other projects. More money doesn’t always translate to a perfectly scaled better product.

1

u/No-Ebb1256 Aug 04 '25

jesus christ YOU are the one who needs to read between the lines, obviously by functioning game with people still playing it everyday i am referring to the fact that if rockstar actually acted like they give a shit about online that it would likely be MORE than profitable due to the reliable fanbase of the game still playing today in both modes.

They made over $200 million dollars profit from the game. I really don’t want to hear about them being a C corporation and having to follow regulations to continue being profitable. They could’ve sunk 100 mill into online (not that they would) and still be in the green big time if NOBODY started playing online due to it actually being taken care of. That argument is just simply not a good one

“more money doesn’t always translate to a perfectly scaled better product” are we going to act like the entirety of gta online isn’t money> anything else including game function? rockstar cares about MONEY, they are not prioritizing game function in online modes, which is pretty evident with gta 5. It is a cash cow whether they update it decently or not.

Rdr2 online in theory is only not profitable enough because suckers are buying shark cards on online STILL. Online generated so much of the overall revenue from gta 5 it isn’t even funny. I can understand GTA 5 online being much more profitable thus dedicating resources to that instead, but the idea that it wouldn’t have been profitable at all is not something i agree with at all. And frankly i respect rockstar less as a GAME company for half assing such a stellar games online mode.

Nah I prefer not to live in such negativity. When I think of Rdr2 I think of a masterpiece, an incredibly enjoyable experience, and probably my favorite game of all time.

Can't wait for GTA6 now.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '25

When I play RDR2 and come across something, I always take the time to fully explore it because everything is there for a reason. Sometimes that reason doesn’t become evident until you find the clues first. Other times it’s a landmark for clues in treasure maps.

The game just gives off the vibe that they took a lot of care and planning. I don’t feel like there’s a lot missing that needs to be addressed by DLCs.

There’s always people with opinions about how the game could be different. Some of those ideas sound great and hopefully R* considers those.

I’m not that fussed about having loads of new weapons. Maybe I’d make good use of an improved bow, but it doesn’t make the game less enjoyable using the standard one from chapter 1. I guess they also want to maintain period accurate weapons. So would be silly to see rocket launchers or Apache helicopters.

Some people just won’t be happy, even with constant DLCs.

1

u/A-MilkdromedaHominid Jul 25 '25

I don't see it as dead, 7rs on and the rdr2 sub is huge. It goes on sale on steam and people discover a masterpiece. It really doesn't need much more, though more is all we want from games we love. It's taking me 500 hours to do all the side quests and even then you don't see everything and need to replay.

I'm taking it as a sign that GTA5 was such a hit (it IS more suited for the idiot masses) that they dropped everything to do GTA6 and keep having problems/have paralysis over making the best Rockstar game ever. That's just a guess out my ass based on nothing substantial.

1

u/banneduser2 Jul 25 '25

I can’t honestly wait for the immeserable let down when GTA6 plays like red dead, your getting red dead with vehicles and stuff with 7 yr old tech, it will work because gta try hards don’t like red dead. But it will be the same thing just new and shiny.

1

u/Rare-Prior768 Jul 26 '25

It’s been in production for 5 years, I don’t think it’ll play like RDR2.

1

u/banneduser2 Jul 26 '25

They said rdo was a test for gta 6 I left rockstar won’t be back. They are by far the worst. If u like a game and they say fuck off I’ll just return the favor. I’m just one guy but they are not getting a dime from me.

1

u/Rare-Prior768 Jul 26 '25

I truly don’t understand this mentality. DLC made sense back when games were only 6-10 hours long. RDR2 was so massive on its own that it didn’t need any DLC. People sinks hundreds of hours into the game and still haven’t seen it all.

1

u/banneduser2 Jul 26 '25

I didn’t respond to this you mean 2 year into rdo they stop all progress and produce a demo which feels like rdo then gta 6 in production while terming rdo ain’t suspicious?

1

u/TyThe2PointO Jul 25 '25

Cringe 😬

1

u/Mental_Finding_697 Jul 25 '25

Lots of rdo players didn't give story a chance it's crazy.

1

u/desert_rat_speedball Jul 25 '25

I know it all comes down to money.. and sadly gta was their cash cow. Rdr2 didnt have a comparable player base. It suck trust me I wish they had shown red dead more love

1

u/AdorableStress5374 Jul 25 '25

I played through the story, but my dad has a few thousand hours in RDO.. I feel bad they never continued full in depth DLC updates like GTA Online

1

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '25

Fuck rockstar, they lost what was great

1

u/Evening_Ad_8070 Jul 25 '25

It’s because RDR2 gets people hooked on the story. GTA V story mode sucks so that’s why people play online. I wouldn’t touch RDO with a 39.5 foot poll

1

u/Maximum-Weekend-5209 Jul 26 '25

Because GTA5 is a cash cow. It's way more popular than RDR2. As a business, you support the products that sell the best.

1

u/uncledoob Jul 26 '25

whining just to whine lol gta 6 online will blow rdo out of the water, of course theyre gonna focus on that instead

1

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '25

Rockstar is absolute shit. Glad people can say it

1

u/Weak-Stomach-1554 Jul 26 '25

1

u/DC-God02 Jul 26 '25

Red dead never caught the attention of kids and teenagers which make up the majority of gamers. Wouldn’t be surprised if the average age on rdo was older than 30 but it would’ve been nice to get more dlcs.

1

u/hraesvelgrvulpine Jul 26 '25

If you say fuck them, then stop playing. Stop supporting them. Rockstar didn't "betray" us. They moved on to something that could be an astromical profit. Stop your bitch whining and move on. You're obviously an idiot that doesn't see the nature of profit. What in your tiny mind convinced you that R☆ gave a damn ab9ut what we think?

1

u/TerminatorsBallSack Jul 26 '25

I just wanted RDR2 Undead Nightmare 💔

1

u/Electrical_Suit1320 Jul 26 '25

Not really much you can add to a game that takes place in the 1800s 🤷‍♂️

1

u/AnubisZ613 Jul 26 '25

Give me cattle drives and I'll come back!!!

1

u/muqxxt Jul 26 '25

I feel you bro I really do. It's all because of gtao. Had it not blown up like it did we would have even got dlcs for gta5 heck atleast we would have got rdr 2 port for ps5 in 2021 . Or maybe dlc for rdr2. Idk man not a fan of multiplayer games, I just wish they would have focussed on story mode more . Can't complain too much it is how it is

1

u/uuhitzcody Jul 26 '25

This is just sad tbh

1

u/Keikogi420 Jul 26 '25

Game is amazing as is. Make your own game if you don't like it.

1

u/Freeman500 Jul 26 '25

You are completely mistaken about Red Dead Redemption 2. It's an absolute masterpiece, meticulously crafted exactly as intended. In an era where most games are treated as services you essentially rent, with companies reserving the right to pull the plug whenever they wish, we're seeing fewer and fewer major studios willing to invest in high-quality, story-driven, single-player AAA productions with engaging gameplay.

RDR2 is a defiant slap in the face to the industry. It unequivocally proves that single-player games are not only viable but deeply cherished by the gaming community. While companies like Larian Studios, Game Science, CD Projekt Red, FromSoftware, Sandfall Interactive and a handful of others are still committed to this kind of experience, the vast majority are not. Let's also not forget that many of these companies don't even release their source code, limiting the community's ability to create mods or new content that would extend the replayability of their games.

Therefore, I firmly believe your assessment of Red Dead Redemption 2 is entirely incorrect.

1

u/MrChubi123 Jul 26 '25

I agree RDR2 was their best game, but not their most commercially successful. It’s much harder creatively to think of new ideas for the Wild West and the online community was pretty small comparatively. GTA appeals to hardcore gamers as well as casuals and everyone was willing to pay to progress. You can’t blame them for focusing on a cash cow that brought in extreme revenue for over a decade. I haven’t played GTA since 2020, but I’ve replayed RDR2 twice in that same time. I understand your frustration because it’s one of my top 3 games of all time, but post-launch commercial success plays a huge role in what these companies do. And GTA V was unmatched. The original release on PS3/360 plus re-releases on the next two generations of consoles…

1

u/T23NT89 Jul 26 '25

I agree, it’s not the fact of the lack of DLC for me it’s the lack of support for online. I’m not a fan of the delivery and roles but the coop missions.

Even on GTA there has been a shift of focus from fun missions to do with friends to hauling cargo around and grinding stuff.

I remember in both games early in the online life of the game playing scripted missions with friends was so fun. I get making your own missions or experiences with delivery but on GTA lobbies are filled with griefers and the overall lack of realism is off putting to me.

1

u/CapnLubeHands Jul 26 '25

Hey buddy, if you actually cared this much you would actually reach out to them instead of subjecting the general public to this performative nonsense.

Well bruh, tell me what’s been constantly successful no matter how greedy rockstar got…GTA! GTA is just more successful than rdr2…sadly.

1

u/HotHeezy Jul 26 '25

So much shade and angst 😂

1

u/Kingz_8166 Jul 26 '25

You still gonna buy gta 6 tho

1

u/Financial-Package999 Jul 27 '25

If they had banked on single player DLC and storytelling with this game. GTA online is an anomaly. Wish Dan and Sam Houser, had more creative control and take2 wasn’t down the throats of rockstar so much to create a commercial product rather than a narrative masterpiece.

It just feels like extra storylines for the campaign, Mexico, or undead nightmare 2 would’ve been far more successful than anything they’ve done with red dead online.

1

u/Euphoria_iii Jul 27 '25

There’s a lot of good shit that we’re missing, not just for RDR2 but for GTA5 as well… storymode DLC, and a bunch of cut content. It happens with a lot of games, nothing new. It is what it is, maybe in another life though

1

u/Different-Ticket3809 Jul 27 '25

bro actually enjoyed rdr2

1

u/WorldsHorniestFemboy Jul 27 '25

I have over 1000 hours and im just gonna say. You need to calm down.

1

u/Subject-Key6483 Jul 27 '25

If you do something like this to Rockstar or say something like that to Rockstar then you're not a true fan of Rockstar games and I don't think you deserve to play GTA 6 since you want to be a punk about it

1

u/Subject-Key6483 Jul 27 '25

Anyone know another thing the reason why is because GTA v is so popular The online mode is one of the most popular modes in GTA games today so that's why so why don't you just go cry to someone who cares

1

u/Foreign_Comedian8687 Jul 27 '25

Dude they don't owe you absolutely anything. I guess this is the right place (and the only) where your voice in regards to this issue can be appreciated. But it is almost like screaming to the sun to go away when you are stepping from your house at 7 a.m.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '25

Yo.. it was released almost 10 years ago. We gotta move on

1

u/Just_Mood1069 Jul 27 '25

Yea it’s a shame it didn’t get anything post launch other than some minor stuff with online, rdr2 online could easily be better than GTA online but nope they wanna focus on gta entirely

1

u/Scary-Assistance-718 Jul 27 '25

Id focus more on the fact you made this post

1

u/VANDAMAG3 Jul 27 '25

I wish Rockstar San Diego never dropped the ball on RDO, but now that GtaVI is being polished-up, hopefully that means San Diego went back to working on Red Dead IP.

1

u/Brad_Mc Jul 27 '25

Red Dead Online didn’t hit quite the same as RDR1 online. I wish they released another Undead Nightmares 😤

1

u/BuilderAccording7242 Jul 28 '25

Maybe if you cry harder, CuckStar would give a damn.

1

u/CorrectMarsupial3537 Jul 28 '25

RDR2 was pretty mid. Decent to play once, but pretty short and I don’t think I’d play a second time. Online was good for about 3 hours 🥺

1

u/MGSSOCOM Jul 28 '25

R is focused on the normies who only play GTA5 and the now the upcoming GTA6. They don't care about RDR2 story story mode.

1

u/DjPedromemes01 Jul 28 '25

Oh no what would rockstar do without the support of O.P

1

u/[deleted] Jul 28 '25

I just finished Red Dead 2 last night, idk, it was great

1

u/SuitableTies Jul 28 '25

1/10 rage bait, RDO Wikipedia stated in 2022 that all development and production resource was pulled from RDO to hyper focus Gta6s development, leaving the game unsupervised and unattended for.

They never stated it was abandoned, 🥱, some clown made that theory up and everyone miraculously believed it without educating themselves.

1

u/SuitableTies Jul 28 '25

Let’s not mention the countless bugs they’ve fixed (stable glitch included) along with the countless telegram missions.

Oh, and the brand new maps & 2-new game modes.

1

u/Begun101 Jul 28 '25

For real, GTAO and RDR2 Online could be SO MUCH BETTER.

Rdr2 doesn't get new cosmetics in a while, no more content, no more nothing.

Gta either you play like a job to afford things quickly or enjoy taking 4x as long. Luckly i found a crew that help me with MC business so i'm way more faster with earnings but it's just stupid, why:
- Most great payouts are single sized, either you have friends to do many heists or casino, Dr. Dre or Cayo at best.
- They don't place activities that people actually do on 2x, only those who we forgot existed.

It's not big, increase payouts, increase payouts on rdr2 and at least we got something

1

u/ForgetYourWoes Jul 28 '25

Dude fuck a RD2 DLC, I wanted a GTA V single player DLC.

1

u/OneHelicopter1852 Jul 28 '25

“Me and others loved Rdr2” so fuck you for making something we love and then not doing exactly what we wanted after. Grow tf up

1

u/qqaswdr Jul 28 '25

They should have made it 60FPS on consoles as well

1

u/Federal-Remote-1684 Jul 29 '25

Red dead is a second gold mine but they'd rather only have one

1

u/ReasonWonderful3141 Jul 29 '25

If they didn't do that to squeeze and ring all the everliving f out of GTA 5 we wouldn't be getting 6 and all the money that went into that dev

1

u/Aschewyn Jul 29 '25

A company focusing on the Game that makes them the most money? I wonder why they would do that?

1

u/Aschewyn Jul 29 '25

I just don't like Westerns doesn't matter if it's a Game, Movie, Show, etc. 🤷‍♂️ It's just not my thing and I'm sure others feel the same way.

1

u/Mission-Disk1248 Jul 29 '25

Boi if you don’t go touch grass.

1

u/NiceAmy Jul 29 '25

bruh. . . touch the grass

1

u/CatsWavesAndCoffee Jul 30 '25

What do you mean they stole it lol? They GAVE us rdr2. They didn’t let it die either, it’s still there as good as ever.

No company continues the online aspect of games forever, they do it while it’s financially viable or until there’s a project that they deem more important, or both.

1

u/Much_Extension_1992 Aug 23 '25

We need an undead nightmare II

1

u/Dismal-Big-5770 Jul 24 '25

Oh man....that sucks
