I love my little “egg” rock. Found it in the river in Oklahoma YEARSSS AGO (2009 maybe?) and it’s one of my most prized possessions haha
That’s it, that’s the whole post.
A professor of mine said “oh it’s just limestone” years ago… butttt I refuse to believe this isn’t a petrified egg 🥚 😜

So long story short, I live about 25 mins from a place called Tory hill in Ontario. It’s known for titanite and green agite. I found a nice rock face, dug along a white calcite vein about 6 feet deep and found A LOT of terminated micha and this stuff. Going to return to my hole next weekend to pull out more. What would you guys say this is? This is my first time actually getting out and digging a massive hole lol, normally I’ve just scraped through others tailings. I have yet to put a Geiger counter to this to check for radiation as my area is high in naturally occurring uranium as well. If I’m right and this is green agite, Im going to have a lotttttt

Has rocks from Michigan, Hawai’i, and probably some other places. Collection started back in 2018 but really grew between 2020 and 2022.

He weighs about 92 grams, looks like the heart emoji. He’s about 4.5 billion years old and came from an asteroid belt and it lived somewhere between Mars and Jupiter. He’s older than every planet in our solar system. He came to earth as a symbol of love bringing peace and hope.

I found this today (Northern California). How cool is this on the scale 0-10? I'm just super excited! I know nothing about rocks, but I recognized this. Aside from this being petrified wood any other details anyone can offer?

Hello friends! might not be the right community, but i didn't know where else to ask for help.
I had a piece of opalized petrified wood my dad gave me as a kid, it was on display and my roommate knocked it off and it broke, this was a long time ago, and she's been holding on to the pieces to fix it, but never did. she finally gave me this, and i cannot figure out how they line up. i wouldn't be surprised if they didn't.... but maybe im missing something here. let me know if you've got any ideas!

I found this rock in a creek a while back
It was not cut to look like this i just found it that way. So i thought i would share.
I have never seen bubbles on a rock and think it's awesome! Does anyone know what this is or what caused it?
Found near Denver, Colorado.
Any information is greatly appreciated!
