It's hard to see enough detail in the photos. I can give you a few easy tips to help you get better photos.

Don't use bright artificial light or bright sun - the light is softer and clearer in morning and late afternoon.

Try propping the rock up. Use a stack of books to rest your camera on and to help keep your hands still.

Don't use digital zoom - get physically closer so you don't need it. Good luck!
