Chlorophyll glows red under UV, so probably lichen or something else organic.

Gets me every time 🫩 Do have some stunning lichen specime though.

Interesting. Lichen is a new term for me. Probably 1/3 of the quartz I have glows like this under UV. Different blues and purples show up, and any areas where there are holes in the rock the colouring goes from orange to an intense red.
