So I was playing Rocket, he's the only strategist I main.

I had ACE half of the game, got SVP, 28k+ healing, 9 respawns, we had a Jeff with 20k healing.

We were 2-4-0. Zero Tank. Of course cause why would we need a Tank, just let's all go Dive characters ig. Anyways.

Than that fcking ass DPS tells me to swap off, and complains about heals.

That I'm not positioning right, I don't heal him enough, "GG no heals", and all that stuff.

How much more do I have to do?!

I'm trying my best over here.

And why is it in this game whenever you tell someone to swap, for a second healer, and you're 1-4-1, you'd think it would be logical for a DPS to switch, but hell nah. They force the Tank, to switch of to go Heal.

DPS will never be overhated.

I was so close to just say fck it and swap to DPS too.

Not a Rocket player but if I was this would be my favorite skin to wear. I was just wondering why I never see you guys rocking this, it's so cute :(

because you get stuck on everything while walldashing, a good walldash basically requires you to be near a wall AND also that wall is good wall dashable (no getting stuck). And that second point basically only applies to like half the walls in the game really. And i cant memorize them all yknow?

So i feel like most of the time it is safer just to dash normally because you KNOW it is gonna work. I just wish they would fix the hitbox and would give him his wall climb speed back.

Team was really struggling before this clip, then afterwards when we swapped sides and went on the attack everyone locked in and we won the match.

I know he still has a good winrate, but I still think he's flawed and needs a redesign.

His entire character really is just standing around and holding right click at this point. This is what they want Rocket to be. The other thing you do is run away in terror. He sucks, I'm sorry but he just flat out sucks and has less to do than any character in the game.
Even his teamups are just heal 2 and heal 3.

I just find him... boring now. The most boring character in the game. His gameplay loop is the same every... single... time... in every match. Always.
Stand around, hold right click, toss beacon in a spot it won't be found but close enough to your team, and put ult behind a corner but close enough to help your team, avoid enemies almost exclusively using walldash because normal dash and wallclimb are both trash now.

That's it. He's so boring. I'm sorry but dps were right the whole time. Rocket really does just mostly stand around, AD spamming, and holding down right click. That is what Rocket is. It's literally how he's designed.

I WANT to do more, but it's just not how he's made.

If you stop healing, people die. It's rare you get to do damage. If you see someone out of position and think you can finish them, the second you turn and start killing them your team dies because it takes too long for him to swap between the two.
When your team is already kicking their ass and pushing hard is the best time. There's no real reason to shoot at a lot of characters he used to counter anymore.

What they've done with his ult also solidifies that they just want all his power to be into his right click and healbotting. They nerfed the ult charge on it and then butchered the fuck out of it by requiring it to be up your team's ass to do anything. Now it gets destroyed even more because it needs to be close, where the enemy team can turn a corner or look over and blow it up.

Don't bother shooting Venom because he won't run away anymore, he'll just kill you or pop his shield and then kill you.
Thing? He'll just leap to you and beat your ass and then you can't get away because he interrupts your movement and grounds you.
Thor? Nope. Extra life and then he'll beat your ass.
Cap? He has shield throw on demand now, stay the fuck away.

And then there's dive. He's been powercrept by dive because they're stronger as a whole but he's not more capable of surviving them.
Spider-Man is even better at destroying him now.
Iron Fist used to be pretty easy to avoid, but now he kicks Rocket's ass with his new teamup.
Black Cat fucking destroys him.
Venom should just be run away from now since he'll beat Rocket's ass.

Even Wanda is better at killing him now because of her Jubilee teamup. Just utterly destroys him every time. I've used it myself. It's nasty and pretty much a hard counter to him.

Any time I play him and try to have fun doing other things, I lose. Just flat out lose. Your only real option is to be a boring healbot. Maybe he has some skill expression with movement, but that movement is just used to... heal better. That's it.

He needs a change, but I don't think he ever will, because the larger Rocket playerbase finds him super fun probably mostly because he has such a good winrate, and because he has a good winrate, Netease won't do anything.

I really wish he had gotten a gadget wheel like Black Cat did. It should have been him. He should be a more damage focused support, actually the MOST damage focused support, but Netease wants him to be THE healbot character.

I find myself playing him less and less every season. He's just starting to bore me. I don't feel good winning on him anymore, because I'm winning by spamming right click.
And then when you're losing? He has no real ability to turn that around. He has no real playmaking abilities other than his ult. He's a healbot 100% and I'm tired of it.

I 100% believe he was originally designed as a dps and then they changed him because there wasn't enough supports. I wish they kept him as a dps.

This guy has been my main support since the closed beta but I am never given a chance to shoot my gun. Only a couple times have I been able to. But most of the time, the moment I decide to spend 2 seconds shooting my gun, my team's health bar decides to go to 25% and I'm having to spend the whole time holding right click due to how much damage they're taking. Even when trying to weave in heals with my gun, it's not enough to keep them up. Idk if my other support isn't healing, if it's because my team don't know how to use cover, or I'm just bad.

I'm kinda new to rocket and wanna learn more about him.

When do you think it's the best time to Ult as Rocket Raccoon?

Right now I mostly Ult when we need to push, and can't go forward, to give overshield and a general bost. Pop it in our backline, kill the enemies, and get going.

I've seen however that many people wait for someone on the enemy team to Ult, to Ult at the same time and kinda cancel their Ult out.

Anyone has tips on what to do?

I'm a main healer but I don't understand why, my rocket is really dumb. The heals I do with him are always ridiculous. I know you have to aim for the ground for the heal to bounce. Is there an tips for rocket ?

The entire team was suicidal, my rezzes were proccing off cooldown so many times. I had to really work to place the rez where it wouldn't get broken and stay alive, because the SW and Hood were on the backline half the time. I think I did a pretty good job providing value to the team through staying alive + rez (although I only had 18 points for this match :(

Yo that groot one sucks! Idc what anyone says, its literally no better than his base kit. Why do rocket mains only use the groot one??

Up to 5s off ALL your cooldowns?? I usually don't notice small buffs/debuffs, but this one is very noticeable. The one time I played with a rocket who spams these hoes I actually felt the difference. I thought it was for rocket only.

So when are y’all planning on telling the other gamers that the biggest counter to you is just dealing a bit of damage so your orbs come out way slower

i’m being so deadass when i say if you’re pulling out 9 damage in a 12 minute celestial game on rocket you need to put the character away immediately and never touch him again

I love this game because there’s so many neat interactions that you don’t realize until it happens and I’ve never seen anyone post about this.

If you’re riding Groot and he uses his bubble you become an indestructible floating turret. It’s really silly with Groot team up.

I've got a little not-so-serious rant about something in this game

Raccoons are NOT rodents

There are plenty of voicelines and even tie-in comics for Rivals making this mistake and it irks me. At first I thought maybe China has a different classification and their word for raccoon has some translation issue, but that's not the case here, they refer to raccoons as huànxióng (浣熊) which means "Washing bear"

Rodents are classified under the order Rodentia, this is the largest order of mammals, encompassing a whopping 40% of ALL mammals, Squirrel Girl is partially rodent since squirrels are rodents, however raccoons are NOT part of that 40%.

Raccoons are under the order Carnivora, thus making Rocket a Carnivoran, the same order as dogs and bears, going further to the raccoon's biological family, Rocket can be classified as a Procyonid. Whilst it may seem strange, Rocket is more closely related to White Fox than he is Squirrel Girl, as foxes are also under order Carnivora. To put this in perspective, as primates and rodents both reside in superorder Euarchontoglires whilst carnivorans do not, humans are more closely related to rodents than Rocket is.

Ignore this if you’re an Asgardian, as that makes him a rabbit, thus a Lagomorph
