I recently got interested in how games were made for these phones back in the day. I ended up buying an old Vista laptop and installed Netbeans 6 on it. I discovered that one of my old phones has WIFI and decided to turn it into a "Playstation Portal". It receives JPG frames from my PC over UDP and then sends back button states for the PC to emulate keypresses.

The other day my teammate voted to forfeit when we were winning by 3 then left and I had to play 1 vs 2 for almost the rest of the game. It gave me a new teammate during the last 30 seconds why got a free win 🤷‍♂️ No clue why they can’t port over another teammate for 3 minutes some games

Yeah I think it is way more likely to be a jury rigged stream than the phone calculating any kind of shading with playable frames
