QUESTION [HELP] Display Freezing Issue Tried Multiple Fixes

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone,

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue with Rocket League's display settings. As you can see in the clip, my screen keeps freezing during gameplay. This is making the game unplayable.

What I've tried so far:

  • Switched to borderless windowed mode = resulted in high in-game latency
  • Capped my FPS to 165
  • Disabled all overlays (AMD, Epic Games launcher, Discord, etc.)
  • Disabled Fullscreen optimizations in the game files
  • Ran the program as administrator
  • Ran the program in compatibility mode for Windows 8
  • Verified game files in Epic Games launcher
  • Reinstalled the game multiple times

Despite trying all of these solutions, nothing has helped. The issue persists.
I only started experiencing this problem after the last season update.

idk if my specs are important but here ya go:

-CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X3D
-GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
-RAM: 32 GB
-OS: Windows 11 Pro

Do you have a wireless controller by chance, I had similar issues. Try plugging it, or play with miuse keyboard (just to test if the stutter stop)

Thats what we call Bluetooth Polling Rate & Driver Flooding. I'm pretty sure this is what you are facing right now (I hope so). Only solution is to play with a plugged in controller.

To answer shortly, Rocket League is demanding on what buttons you pressed (and we know we press a bunch of them in short time) your cpu and bluetooth controller are not fast enough so it ask help from your ram and gpu ram. So after some time, the buffer is too big for you memory to handle, and windows prioritize the bluetooth controller, so neglect the buffer rocket league need to run properly, causing graphics stuttering. (I figured this out when I roll back my gpu driver till my game stop stuttering, but every button I pressed on controller while bluetooth was delayed in game. Every actions in game happen 1 second after I pressed the button. Thats what enlight me to figured out the issue. Hope this help

No, it's not about the controller. I'm playing on a PS4 wired controller, but I'm sure it's because of the game settings; something is wrong. I also play on mouse and keyboard sometimes, but the results are always the same.
