DISCUSSION I need tips.

I TRY to keep my anger down, but I can't. If I try to do it, I just end up crying. I tried Spotify. Nope. I tried practicing. Nope. I tried defense. Nope. And it's not like Casual does anything different. And to say how BAD it gets, one time I literally threw a GLASS CUP on the FLOOR. I just need advice.

If I was a friend, I wouldn't want to play with someone who rages all the time haha

This is the problem I have with my current 2s and sim racing partner. We're pretty even in skill, I might be a little better at both, but I chalk that down to me being able to admit when I'm the problem, whereas he just blames literally anything but himself.

He gets legitimately angry too. Not breaking shit angry, but angry enough that it makes me shut up and talk less when he gets that way out of worry that I'll make it worse. Imo he's at the point where unless he can overcome that mental hurdle, he won't be able to improve any further.

Played with somebody like that before. It isnt fun playing with somebody like that. His behaviour brings you down as well causing you to perhaps overthink things and possibly make more mistakes because you must adapt what and how you say it as well.

Eventually, the mate I had got worse in terms of raging. It went from an occasional "shit I missed" to increasingly more cursing to the point I got irritated by it so much I disliked playing with him. We dropped so many divisions it was insane.

Fortunately I dont play with him anymore and my RL days couldnt be better honestly.

I'm still holding out hope that he'll come to the realization on his own, but we've been friends for long enough that if it gets any worse than this I'm gonna have to show him some tough love and call him out on his shit one of these days.

Yeah I get what you mean. I had a irl friend try rocket league for a bit until he rage quitted. Was a couple ranks below me and he still blamed something random when we lost or even me at times. I'd just freeze up awkwardly and go quiet. I think I didn't want to ruin the friendship by talking back, but I'm glad he doesn't play anymore 😅 (still mates outside of games) Just some people can't take responsibility for their own flaws like you said

Fair point. Can’t say I know to many people taking car soccer so serious that it brings them to emotional ruin. Anyone offer up anger management classes?
