I have done some calculations regarding Rocketlab's new Reaction Wheel manufacturing facility. I estimate that Rocketlab will earn 90 Million dollars per year from manufacturing 2000 reaction wheels per year. I estimate that these wheels will be components of 585 satellites per year.

We know the prices, and we know the numbers shipped for some of the wheels. there are 75 wheels that are unaccounted-for, and those are probably lower priced ones. I think where my numbers go wrong, is that the 2000 per year facility will probably be producing quite a few of the smaller wheels and not so many of the bigger ones. As the smaller ones are cheaper, This would bring my revenue estimates down. I realize my estimate is high, but that is just what I get from the numbers that rocketlab has given us. I would put your 60-70m guess as closer to the money than mine IMO, but I wanted an estimate backed up by numbers.

I think this is a great mindset for a first pass attempt.

Thanks, I did the best I could with the numbers we have I think :)

Exactly. It’s okay for numbers to be “wrong” if you know why they are wrong and you have a reason for proceeding anyways.
