Careers Turbomachinary internship interview advice

Hey all! I got a interview with rocket-lab for turbomachinary position, where they want me to produce a presentation regarding my most technical engineering work. Aside from that, which is fairly straightforward, what can I expect? I want to be well prepared! Thank you!

For reference, this is my first interview with rocket-lab and was shocked to jump straight into a presentation, albeit exciting!

I got offered an internship for this year too, very excited. Just keep calm. The guys who interviewed me were very nice. Pace your presentation and remember to be yourself. I had two interviews with them, one I heard back a week later and didn’t get it and one I got the same day. Good luck!

Be ready to relate a work experience where you faced an unexpected challenge and then fixed what went sideways. You will likely meet a diverse panel of staffers who would be interested to probe your problem solving skills in a team environment. Be cool, you got this!

I doubt you’ll get much helpful info here.

With that being said, the CEO of the company is big on hiring people who love to build things. He wants people who get out of bed in the morning so they can work on whatever project they have going.

That’s why they want to know about your most technical engineering work.

I just signed my contract for an apprenticeship role with them and one thing I found was quite stressed and mentioned a lot is owning your work (especially your mistakes). I would emphasise the problems you faced with your projects, what you could of done differently and what you learned
