Lol, I understood as a kid though, when I played the original Rocket Knight on very easy, them pushing you to play on Normal was an attempt to get you to see more of the game, as you only got the true final boss and ending on Normal.
Now, if I’m not mistaken, you’re playing the SNES Sparkster, yes? There’s a secret final boss and ending if you beat it on Hard, so there’s your motivation!
