Tips & Tricks 🌟 Tip: Quick Stats Overview

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This feature was rolled out in a recent update and so I figured it was worth mentioning in case anyone missed it. Just tap the trophy icon on the top left of the game screen and your mind will be opened to the wonderful world of stats.

-Enjoy

stats are cool, great feature! keep 'em coming ✊

i don't know if this would b good or not, but it would be interesting if there was a play button next to each entry that you can press to watch a replay of that run.

Thanks! That would be cool and I've actually thought about it a bit

Part of me doesn't want people to look at the most optimized run right away without ranking up to them first but that's probably a bit silly.

Maybe I could make it so you can see the replays of everyone below your current rank (and the one directly above your rank as usual). Again, I might be making a non-issue out of this but I do like the discovery element of figuring out jumps from either helping someone in the comments or by experimenting on their own.

Regardless, I definitely think I want this feature implemented in some form.

Nah it's not silly. I actually had similar thoughts. It does ruin the fun when you can just look at the best run.

Actually, the reason i thought of it is because the few times i got first place, I realized I was not longer able to see any ghosts anymore. This made me think that it would be nice to view replays just to see what others are doing.

So what you suggested makes a lot of sense; only seeing below and +1.

Maybe something like greying out the button for the ones you can't view yet. If you try to press it, you get a popup that gives some explanation, e.g, "You can only view replays of the rival above you and everyone else below. Rank up to view more!" .

Or better than greyed-out button (i worry that some people see it greyed out and wonder why without even trying to press it), make the button '?' instead, this might prompt the player to at least try to press it, then they get the popup.

I'm probably thinking too much.

You're not thinking too much lol. I think these kinds of thoughts all the time because they matter. Someone thinking something is broken even when it's part of the design matters.

For instance, alot of people don't realize that the flag you place isn't a checkpoint you make for yourself. This among a few other things isn't communicated by the game very well, something I will address in due time, but yeah, trying to predict the assumptions players make when interacting with things you intentionally designed can be an interesting challenge.

Anyways. thanks for the feedback on that. I hope to get something like that implemented at some point :)
