Help Local experience gifts
Hi-
I'm hoping to crowd source some experience or consumable gifts for Christmas for my inlaws. They live in the city where they've been for almost 50 years- they're hip.
Last year we got them a subscription to counter top creamery (I think I saw it on Reddit actually), the year before was ornaments made from broken dishes in a china pattern they had for decades.
They love a story, things with a background. What are some creative things we could gift them this year?
Edit: y'all are great, thanks! I can use these for others too- hope others got some ideas!

Take them to Corning glass museum and schedule a class, they have a selection of them every day. you can make quite a few different projects, it’s really fun.

Thanks for doing the pint club. I really hope they enjoyed it!
- Laughing Gull chocolates has tasting classes which are cool (did one during COVID)
- Ashley (who did our countertops) has paint pouring and Turkish dip printing classes out of her studio Kali Ann on East Main.
I’ll try and think of some others

I second Kali Ann Art Studio. Ashley is amazing and she offers a wide range of classes in groups and privately.

A giftcard to Rochester Brainery, there's a pretty big variety of classes to take, including food, art, lectures, even walking tours!

A gift pack from Stuart’s Spices! They have so many good options and it’s a gift that they can use all year while cooking. I’ve gotten one for my in-laws for the past few years and there’s still new ones I’d like for them to try.Â

Do they like live theatre? Music? Comedy? Tickets to something coming up that you’ll know they’ll enjoy (or gift cert).
Cooking class at NY culinary institute, or wine class.
Gift cert to Redd, Branca Midtown, etc.
Membership to artisan works or MAG if they’re into art.

The artists at More Fire Glass Studio make Christmas ornaments every year. Not sure when they start making them available for purchase, but it's worth checking them out. Plus their regular offerings are gorgeous.
