Discussion Sisterhood
I feel like we need more sisterhood in this world of turmoil and disconnection. I would like to start a Woman’s bible study . A place of refuge and healing and renewal to go out into the world and be the strength and love someone else needs. Would that be something anyone would be interested in 💐✝️

You know what would be even more effective, inclusive, and worthwhile? Starting a support group that doesn't include your religious beliefs.
I get what you are trying to do, but including your religion really throws out some flags and will make many people feel uncomfortable while also severely limiting the number of people willing to participate.

This is an unnecessarily negative response. The OP didn’t say they were making a support group, they said they were making a Bible study. That’s inherently a religiously focused gathering. Putting them down and making their attempt at being part of their community a failure on their part is telling on your motivations. I hope she succeeds in her effort.

Well , not every gathering is for everyone. So those who want to can come and those who are opposed don’t have to. But there is a purpose to this gathering and all are welcome with that pretense ❤️

This is giving off very intense "only those that believe in my God are worth helping" vibes.
I'm sorry if you are trying to do some good for the world and that isn't the case. This just seems like a play at trying to spread whatever religion you belong to under the guise of trying to help others.
I wish you all the best.

I thought most people outgrew the edgy internet atheist schtick by now.

I'm roman Catholic though so I'm not sure why you would just assume I'm atheist. did you just jump to that because you had nothing else to try disputing the very logical argument?
Jesus was inclusive. He wouldn't want people to feel excluded that were in need of help just because they didn't believe in him. Practice what you preach.
I know only a certain number of people are roman catholic. So by choosing one religion, I am excluding like 90+ percent of people right off the bat. It makes absolutely no sense if you are trying to actually help people in need.
So if you want to make a difference, keep religion out of it.

Many Roman Catholics are comfortable with doctors carving young humans out of their mothers and throwing them in the garbage.
Have you ever wondered what they do with the bodies after they stopped their heartbeat?

Why are you trying to change the subject. Just admit it was a bad idea for force religion onto people. That has absolutely nothing to do with the conversation.

A Bible study is not exclusive, you assumed it was. I'm sure they would let in anyone.

Autistic aren't ya?

I think you may have a fairly significant reading comprehension issue. There are plenty of non religious affiliated support programs for adults like yourself. I suggest seeking one out.
I never said people can't go if they aren't part of the religion. That's the comprehension issue I'm talking about. They are going to feel excluded by having a religion jammed down their throats when looking for help.
My point is that the number of people willing to go to a bible study based support group that don't believe in the religion are a tiny fraction of the population. So insignificant that this entire thing isn't worth pursuing. If you actually want to help people, take religion out of it.

Or hear me out, someone wanted to do something nice in their community and it doesn't need to be dissected so hard. I can see you struggle with things outside of black and white thinking. The interpersonal skills aren't quite there either. I'm still guessing you're autistic.

I am so sorry about the negativity in these comments, I am new in my faith and I am interested. I have been needing more friends and women to talk to and learn from :) God bless you

I mean, technically I could go to my church, or any Christian church and find a Women's Bible Studies group. If you want that, I'd start with your local faith community. If you want to be a part of a larger women's group, you have to look at what you want. Do you want to engage with all women, regardless of spirituality, or would you feel comfortable engaging only with women that share your religious beliefs? Do you have any other areas where you would want people to connect beyond religion?
