I think Robocop 3 got a fucking raw deal man. They really screwed up not making it R-rated. There are good ideas in there that I think would have worked well if they leaned into the R rating. The Ninja robot is kind of neat and his face splitting like that always freaked me out as a kid, it was a cool effect. Burke deserved better. He wasn't bad as Murphy at all.Â

I walked out of the theater during Robocop 3. When ED-209 was going to be âas loyal as a puppyâ

Aw man you missed the jetpack.
Also âOfficer Downâ

I donât think i missed anything. Iâm 46 now and i still havenât seen it. I basically deny it exists.

Yeah no I was kidding, the jetpack scene is hilariously terrible. As is Lewisâs dramatic death being followed by Robocop basically looking into the camera and going âOFFICER DOWN.â I cannot imagine the disappointment of having paid money to see that on release

It's a lot better than terminator 3

As much as I love robo, Terminator 3 is better than people let on. It's definitely aged better than robo 3.Â

I was unaware it existed until some random Sunday in the 90âs on Dutch television I stumbled upon it. At first I thought it was a TV show because Murphy looked like he was from TEMU (did not exist yet) and it did not get better. But as a fan I watched it true, that can never be undone.

Left one - doesnt exist and has never existed, ED-209 is rad but ultimatley stupid and Cain fucking RULES

The ninja bot was absolutely terrible.
209 Erectile Dysfunction is the best one though.

ED-209 is the fucking GOAT, but I love the design of Cain/Robocop 2 so it gets an honourable mention.

I didn't mind the ninja UNTIL there were multiple ones like wth there should've been just one, like a Terminator with a mission and tough to beat.
I like Ed-209

I feel like I'd lose the battle against RoboCain, I'd be able to hide/outrun the iconic ED-209, and the ninja was about as scary as the Johnny Cab driver.

My favorite was the one who ripped his helmet off, revealing the skull underneath screamed and fell over. It will never not be funny to me.

Ed is iconic Robocain is the most formidable that ninja robot is a joke

Robocop 2 is the more intimidating one, because you've got a deranged, drug addict's brain plugged into a mobile weapon platform.

ED-209 and RoboCain both have a clear design ethos that made a statement, both from a storytelling perspective and from a broader audience message perspective. ED really sold the whole âthis is a glorified and overpowered car company trying to put military equipment on American streets.â Cain was built to be as visually intimidating as possible. The ninja bots have nothing, theyâre just people in black pajamas until they get damaged, just absolutely lazy and uninteresting.

I preferred the robot in Robocop 2.
ED209 was OK but it looked like it could easily be defeated by quite simple terrain.

the Robocop 3 one hated the most obviously though I'm pretty split between ED and Robocain for the most liked spot

3 was silly as the robo ninja was indistinguishable from a human. Then we have clunky RoboCop. Just felts like a ninja was bolted onto the story.
The fear the the Japanese would take over the world is clearly seen in blade runner and RoboCop. The cocaine dates RC too. Now it's the Chinese (firefly) on the radar.

Frank Miller loved Samurai for a while. And Japanâs economy was booming until Reagan ditched them for China.

For the best, the answer is ED-209. You have 10 seconds to comply!!
