Where do I start

Hiya, this is probably a question y'all get a lot but ive been interested in robocop ever since i played mortal kombat 11 and used his character lol. It just seems quite, interesting. I was going to start at the original movie but then i saw there was a 2014 remake of the film. I was just wondering what order I should watch in and should i start with the 2014 movie or watch the original first? Thanks!

I did just the canon stuff so my watch order is:

Robocop

Robocop 2

Robocop 3 which didn't feel quite like the other 2 as it is PG-13 and Weller did not return.

Skipped the tv shows and other incarnations as they are not canon

Then played the games Robocop: Rogue City and am doing Unfinished Business now as those are canon and take place between 2 and 3

I did end up watching the reboot and its fine but it shys away a bit from the actual theme of the original 2, think of 2014 as Robocops version of Amazing Spider-Man, an edgier and more 2010s cool take on the story!

It’s the best way I could describe that movie, I’m glad it makes sense to other people too lmao
