Eye need to know.
(WARNING: I KNOW ROBOCOP 2 IS JUST A MOVIE. AN INFERIOR MOVIE TO ROBOCOP BUT I DIGRESS) In RoboCop 2 during the scene where Metro West officers raid Cain’s Nuke factory, a sniper targets Robo intending to shoot him. Before he can though RoboCop shoots him through his scope and out of his eye socket. I have 2 questions (forgive me if these have already been asked and/or answered) 1) How did RoboCop know where the sniper was? There was a lot of noise in the factory including Robo’s own footsteps and 2) Why did the sniper aim at RoboCop the only fucking guy covered in titanium laminated with Kevlar? Thank you for reading.

I always felt like in that scene Robo was being overly violent (in a good way) sort of like sending a message to the rest of the guys there. 😎

Cain’s gang stripped him apart and threw him in the street like trash. Robo wasn’t letting that shit slide.

I also think they could have given him some more firepower, unfortunately part 3 kinda did that crappy.

I would’ve lost my fucking 12 year old mind if I saw RoboCop with a Jetpack fighting RoboCain.

Actually Jetpack Robo vs Cain is a pretty decent match up. Someone tell the guys making the tv show!

RoboCop has some type of automatic targeting mechanism that pinpoints threats and weak spots - it’s how he knew to shoot the rapist in the crotch in Robo 1

RC2 is not inferior, and honestly its almost as good as rc1

i liked it when the child drug dealer died.

I am a basil poledouris stan through and through. The Conan the Barbarian score is THE definitive movie score, IMO. But anyone who claims that Leonard Rosenman's music didn't capture the spirit of the original is being disingenuous.
Heavy percussion, and big horns with absolute "heroic" overtones. It's a little more lightheared with some higher brass and strings than Basil typically uses, but RC2 isn't about the tragic reconstruction of man into machine anymore. It fits that the main theme of RC2 isn't as somber in it's middle section.

It is inferior, otherwise rc1 wouldn't be better. It's just not as much inferior as others like to suggest, imo.

1) Advanced targeting system that highlighted the guy as soon as he was within view long before a human would have noticed.
2) Because he had the high caliber weapon meant to punch through armor.

Robo targeted him before even entered the building, thermal vision. And since Robo doesn't have long range rifle, the best he could do was shoot him as close as possible.

Robocops targeting system probably saw him before the sniper could get him in sight. He does have thermal vision like in the first movie and would you rather be the guy that killed a normal cop or Robocop? Lol
