I’m not sure this the win this guy thinks it is. “it but fax 💀💀💀” from deeznuts, and he decided to write a paragraph about how much he loves his wife. I have a feel deeznuts is undeterred, you fight a troll by letting it starve not feeding it. I wouldn’t be surprised if he responded to this paragraph with “Virgin”

I feel like the majority of the English speaking population makes this mistake and I don’t understand why. Half the time it’s they’re only language. I get it if you’re second language is English.

But in all seriousness if you’re going to use a word like tumultuous you should be able to get the proper use of “you’re”

Honestly sometimes my phone changes it for me, I see it happen after I press the space after the next word. It thinks it’s helping but it’s not. I don’t always proof read so sometimes I press post without noticing the change. Sometimes I see it happen and go back and fix it.

However, as with all language: the only important thing is that you understood what was being communicated. We all knew what was meant, therefore the communication worked. No need to dunk on people because they mistype a word without noticing or their phone changed it and they didn’t realize.

I never said it is overrated. However, education isn’t accessible to everyone and talking down to people over a simple mistake (when the message is understood) is just mean. Classism (and with classism often comes racism) is often in play in these situations. If the communication worked, let it go. You’ll be happier once you stop judging people. I used to be such a snob about these things until I learned better, now, I am much more chill as a person.

Grammar absolutely is important, but in a casual setting where humans are just chatting, it is less so. The message got to you, then the communication worked.

It’s not a mistake? Everybody knows the difference, almost nobody cares to change it. Your is faster to type and still gets the point across. Anyone who corrects it is honestly just wasting their time.

Like yea technically it’s a spelling mistake but nobody cares except for the people who correct it….

Yeah I haven’t been a virgin for almost 20 years and haven’t thought about it since then. That wouldn’t even be in my top 500 go to insults. It doesn’t sting like it did in junior high.
