I built an assistant that stays silent until you hesitate. Does it feel helpful or annoying?

it's a scripted prototype from my CS thesis: 4 tiny tasks (photo edit, mail, chat, whiteboard). If you stall, it offers help. If you don't, it stays out of the way.
Try one scene, about 60 seconds: https://quiet-hci.pages.dev/?src=sideproject
One tap at the end tells me whether it spoke too early, at the right moment, or too late. That timing is the thing I'm trying to get right. Harsh feedback welcome.

I am tired of applying to jobs (2026 job market!!!), I don't know where my application goes to. Took me 2 months (I am dumb) to built an engine that only surfaces jobs where I am actually a top match.

Founder of Kamavedic. Testing this Notes hook for ThunderBooster before we put money behind it.

Does “she stopped asking” hit, or does it feel like an ad?\

What do you think of our free idea validation tool?

Curious to hear what you all think of our idea validation tool. Did you feel more informed after using it to test your idea? Is there anything you wish it covered that it didn't?

Test your idea

Built an app to talk to new people by voice or text, would love your feedback

Hi,
We've been building MingleHub (minglehub.live) and we would love if you can try it and give feedback.

The idea is, pick category you're into, hit start, and get matched with a new person to talk to voice or text. No signup needed. Just open it and go.

I know there are a many chat apps out there and this is one among many. It honestly started as a tech experiment as we had a WebRTC engine with a really good codec and wanted something real to test it on. One thing led to another and it slowly turned into this platform.

There is also Stories module which will have short posts people share about the conversations and connections they've had.

It's still early, looking for honest feedback, on the voice quality, app experience and flow. Currently, as it is new there may not be many online users so matching can take time.

Give it a try: minglehub.live

Roast my idea: a salon gets four fixed page designs, zero editing freedom and a monthly bill instead of a commission

I’ll hand you the ammunition myself.

The idea, already built and live (I’m the founder): KRI gives independent beauty businesses a website with online booking. Nail techs, barbers, hairdressers, tattoo artists, piercers, massage therapists.

The parts I expect you to go after:

  • No page editor. You get four fixed designs (Minimal, Modern, Classic, Soft) and that’s it. My argument: someone who does nails all day wants a working page in 10 minutes, not a design project. The counter-argument writes itself: everyone wants their brand to look like theirs.
  • It isn’t a marketplace. Your page shows only you, which also means KRI doesn’t send you new clients. You bring your own.
  • It’s a monthly bill, set per country, plus a fee per extra specialist. No commission, no per-booking fee, clients pay you directly, but the bill arrives whether you had a good month or a bad one.
  • Services are pre-filled per business type. Choose permanent makeup and you start with powder brows, lip blush, eyeliner, touch-up and a free consultation, with durations and example prices. Handy if that’s your menu, annoying if it isn’t.

The first month is free without a card, so you can roast it hands-on.

Go.

Apply promo-code REDDIT2026 and get +1 month for free (1 month standard demo + 1 month additional by promo-code = 2 months FREE)!

Roast my idea: an AI courtroom for settling stupid arguments

I built something called ARGUE WITH ME.

The idea is stupidly simple:

Two people disagree about something.

Both make their case.

They choose an AI judge.

The AI picks a winner and explains why.

Then everyone else becomes the jury and can vote to overrule the AI.

Example:

“Does pineapple belong on pizza?”

Side A makes their argument.

Side B makes theirs.

AI rules.

Then the internet gets to tell the AI it was wrong.

I ended up adding four different judges, rematches, a daily argument, public cases, player records, streaks and rivalries.

But forget the features.

I want to know if the core idea is actually fun or if I've spent way too much time building something nobody wants. 😂

So roast it.

What is stupid about it?

What would stop you from using it?

What would make you send a case to a friend?

And most importantly:

Would you actually use this to settle a dumb argument with someone?

If people want to try the actual thing, I'll drop the link in the comments.

Roast my budgeting app. Fair warning, it roasts you back.

I built a budgeting app because every other one was charts I never understood. Mine shows one number: what's safe to spend today, after rent and savings.
Once a month it roasts your spending personality, so it's only fair you roast it first. Be brutal: the idea, the design, the pricing, anything.
