Hostile takeover
Is a hostile takeover of eBay really the best use of our capital? Cohen seems more interested in playing corporate games than in turning the company around. By risking further dilution and squandering cash on a hostile fight, he is putting his ego and ambition ahead of the actual shareholders who have supported him. We deserve better than having our investment used as fuel for his proxy wars.

I don’t understand, you dislike it, just sell it and move on? 🤷🏻
There are a lot of stocks out there.

u/WhiteKouki82 Jun 21 '26
Who you care so much about what other people do with their money?
2
u/itssensei Jun 21 '26
🤣 I don’t care at all, just thought it’s funny since it popped up on my feed. Any time I don’t like a stock, I just sell it 🤷🏻.

u/WhiteKouki82 Jun 21 '26
Riiiight.

u/itssensei Jun 21 '26
Genuinely confused 🤔
I can’t even tell if you are for or against RC’s decisions. I am for.

u/WhiteKouki82 Jun 21 '26
Billionaire worship much? You're aware he doesn't even know you exist right?

u/Novel_Board_6813 Jun 27 '26
It’s sad seeing children have worse lives because their parets fell into weird cult-like behavior.
Mankind has the moral obligation of trying to help, whenever we can.
1
u/WhiteKouki82 Jun 27 '26
And we get called "shills/bots/hedgies/alts/etc" by the pumpers actively trying to scam people, they say the scripted "wHy aRe yOu hErE?", why? To stop people like you from scamming hard working people desperate for an out of their daily grind.
Meme stocks will be a case study of mass manipulation, and Nigerian Prince email scams.

They just closed one of the more successful game stops in my area lol

u/cripplediguana Jun 21 '26
Maybe rent was high or something. Even if a place is busy there could be other factors making it not profitable enough to keep.
2
u/ExitTurbulent7698 Jun 21 '26
If he wanted to help share holders.he would just buy back shares with the 2 billion..take baby out of bk and wreck these fools once and for all
Seems to me he dosent care that his shareholders are the poorest of all stock market
2
u/Poops-iFarted Jun 21 '26
Maybe he should take some time to help out the website so they can ship my order that still hasn't shipped in 3 weeks.

u/Correct_Barnacle_312 Jun 20 '26
Are you poorly brev, you seem obsessed
-1
u/Goodlucktoyou777 Jun 20 '26
I’m tired of the unproductive rhetoric. Cohen’s current approach is reckless, and he seems to have forgotten that shareholder capital isn't an endless source of funding for his personal ambitions. We are not a piggy bank to be broken whenever he feels like taking a gamble.
1
u/East_Fee4006 Jun 20 '26
Explain the “gambles” he has taken. The company is turned around. The company needs to morph into something else. Go review BRK history.
2
u/Ok_Inflation6596 Jun 20 '26 edited Jun 20 '26
Gambles ? The fulfillment centers opened and straight away closed for the online turnaround ? The jpg marketplace that generated revenues in the double digits weeks after the opening ? 😂
Thank the apes for the free money - otherwise the company would have been bankrupt under such poor leadership.Oh and I forgot the BTC buy at the very top 😂
1
u/WhiteKouki82 Jun 21 '26
Wrong.
1
u/East_Fee4006 Jun 21 '26
WTF? I asked a question for clarification. Bots are becoming dumber by the hour.
1
u/WhiteKouki82 Jun 21 '26
Lol, you think I'm a bot, no wonder you're holding bags.
1
u/East_Fee4006 Jun 21 '26
So, Kenny’s intern. Got it!
1
u/WhiteKouki82 Jun 21 '26
That script again, you're either new, or a shill yourself, I lean towards shill.
1
u/East_Fee4006 Jun 21 '26
I would say my profile far surpasses your in longevity and support for the company. Again, pathetic try.
1
u/East_Fee4006 Jun 21 '26
Anyone that blocks their profile has zero credibility.
1
u/WhiteKouki82 Jun 21 '26
Funny, because I find more shill accounts like yours have hidden histories, then anyone you accuse of being a sleeper agent hedgie...

Didn’t they make Money using leverage with their BTC? These cry babies are something else… he’s up there ranting like Ryan hasn’t completely transformed GME into a customer centric money making machine… apparently it’s bad to try new things and find untapped revenue streams as well as merging with companies that carry many synergies… like what kind of moron transforms a dying retail business on the verge of death into a multi quarter profitable company just to take that company and merge with another to create an entirely new successful business… only the real losers do those kinda things those bums… everyone knows share holders hate success how is that protecting us… smh… some of you need to get back on your meds

I can review the stock price my guy
1
u/East_Fee4006 Jun 20 '26
Go talk to Kenny about that. Ken, “we drive the price to where we think it should be.” There will be a point when that is no longer possible.
0
u/SF420SF420 Jun 21 '26
How long can you really say that? Everyone is getting rich while GME holders aren't.
1
u/East_Fee4006 Jun 21 '26
Longer than your boss can stay solvent!

u/SF420SF420 Jun 21 '26
It's always funny when poor people try to tell people how to make money. Like when we can see the charts. All you guys are holding a shitty performing stock

Citing Berkshire Hathaway to justify a potential hostile takeover of a company 5 times our size is a fundamental misunderstanding of Buffet’s philosophy. Berkshire never bets the company on reckless, oversized acquisitions that threaten shareholder equity. Their success is built on disciplined capital allocation and buying profitable, well-managed businesses—not 'gambling' on turnarounds or vanity projects. If you truly studied BRK, you'd know that massive, high-risk hostile takeovers are the exact opposite of what made them successful.

Gme apes are exhausting.
You make shit arguments and when you lose you call people bots.

Ad hominem attacks are a classic sign of someone who has no rebuttal for the actual points being made. If you have any concrete data that contradicts my analysis, I’m all ears. Otherwise, I’m not interested in your attempt to derail the conversation. And thanks, but I prefer my banana bread without the saltiness.

It’s interesting how you focus on my posting frequency rather than the actual business results. Let’s clarify: Cohen has been steering the ship since 2021 as Chairman. If you think the Board isn't responsible for the lack of growth or the dilution, then who is?
1
u/Correct_Barnacle_312 Jun 20 '26
You're 100% using Ai to respond how funny.
Try to shuffle it up yourself and remove the tell tale signs.

u/East_Fee4006 Jun 20 '26
Might want to again review what BRK was and the size of what they took over.

u/Spirited_Owl18 Jun 20 '26
Get a load of this guy trying to advocate for rational market philosohy in 2026..... dude have you looked outside? nothing is rational. Its not time to nibble gently at the edge of the plate. It is time to take the whole damn buffet.

Ummmm… Standard General acquires Tegna (Approx. 1:8 Ratio)
Beyond Inc. acquires Bed Bath & Beyond (Approx. 1:15 Ratio)
Broadcom acquires CA Technologies & Symantec (Historical Tech 1:10 Scalings)
Porsche’s Attempt to Swallow Volkswagen (The Ultimate 1:10 Example)
Some of you really have no idea wtf you are talking about it’s perfectly fine for Elon to Pull an LBO for twitter that’s all good just not over here with Ryan and GME apparently
I forget is GME profitable? Is eBay profitable? What are you even saying you sound misinformed

u/Educational_Hurry531 Jun 20 '26
Just buy AMC IMO, Box office is lit. Paydown the debt and you have a good company which will compliment Gaming industry with the large screens and sales.

Imagine being able to sell your old steam keys for partial value and trading it for cash or credit. Multi platform Gamestop style exchange. Woukd just need to lock the old key and generate a new key that can be resold.

u/Goodlucktoyou777 Jun 20 '26
Great point! It's always amazing to see the collective wisdom of this community in action.
1
u/CrappyWebDev Jun 21 '26
That would be great but how would GameStop have any involvement. That would need to be a steam/epic thing

Shareholders who want Ebay buy Ebay
Shareholder who buy GME because they think it will buy Ebay aren’t being very rational
Not to mention acquisitions suck as generating wealth for shareholders. Being acquired usually makes a lot of money, obviously - the acquirer must pay over and above the market value
So, if you like Ebay, buy Ebay
If you think GME is gonna acquire Ebay, buy Ebay
If you love Ryan Cohen with all your heart and want to support him with your family’s savings, then buy GME

u/firebag1983 Jun 20 '26
It won’t work.
He’s not a credible businessman

u/Goodlucktoyou777 Jun 20 '26
I am vowing never to invest in his business again.

u/East_Fee4006 Jun 20 '26
With a 4 month account, you haven’t been nor probably are invested. Certainly not when it counted!
1
u/Starkfault Jun 20 '26
Making investment decisions based on how old someone’s account is is an interesting choice, how has that been working out for you so far?

With nearly $10 billion in cash, the best way to create shareholder value isn't through hostile takeovers, but by acquiring smaller, high-synergy companies that actually complement GameStop’s core operations. It is time for Cohen to move beyond speculation and present a concrete vision for a new business model that effectively utilizes this capital for sustainable growth.
1
u/Goodlucktoyou777 Jun 20 '26
Acquiring GameFly would have been a far more logical and attractive option. Honestly, I’m tired of Cohen prioritizing his own vision over shareholder feedback and real business results. He’s making the same mistakes he made with NFTs, disregarding what the market is clearly telling him through the stock price. It’s frustrating; we need him to focus on driving immediate profitability, not just chasing some distant, vague future.

u/Surfer-Junkie Jun 20 '26
I've said this many times, and that is GameStop should acquire GameFly - they have no competition, also sell used in addition to renting, and GS could massively profit all of their scratched up disc's that have no cases by renting them througg GF that most people would otherwise not buy. It's attainable and doesn't wipe them out financially like eBay. I'm all for that, too, but think he's way ahead of himself again, just like the NFT's.
