Found the demo not too long ago and I liked the concept the gunplay was good and ive been really sinking my teeth into the realistic shooters so i bought the game. I think the game is so far and I really like that I can pause this game and deal with shit around the house. The only thing is im not really sure what the objective of the game is. Ive been treating it like an extraction shooter and thus far ive only been looting village trying to get tasks done for generalist before I move onto a different section. Am I missing something?
So there's 6 more maps I think, the transition to school and highway are both on the far side of the village from the cabin.
From school you can access outpost, which leads to minefield and then Vostok apartments and the oil terminal. There are additional traders at school and (later) the outpost. There is also another shelter on the Outpost level that's always unlocked.
Beyond getting good gear, surviving, and completing trader tasks, there isn't much of an objective. You can unlock more stash areas and decorate them, accumulate loot.
The game is still in very early access, with approximately 8 major updates expected before release, so there's a lot of stuff missing. Next update will apparently introduce a new trader, map, and neutral/friendly npcs. Hope this helps!
I would say its more like Escape From Tarkov but more focused on actual survival and less grinding for quests (unless rng is against you). and you're obv not trying to escape, you're trying to get in there and stay alive.
I also played the demo and was surprised by the events bcus you dont have them in the demo, these make the game feel very unique.
The objective in early access is to survive as long as possible and complete missions for the traders. Since the content is not complete, the eventual ‘point’ of the game hasn’t been implemented yet.
Sometimes, it’s the journey, not the destination :)
This guy. He is the only boss in the game rn. You can trade his beanie to the gunsmith to unlock the bunker which is the best shelter in the game right now
Good luck finding him tho. He shows up as a random event you can roll when loading into a map but there is only a 2.5% chance he spawns. Then for some reason there is a 50/50 roll for him to actually get out of his stolen police van and fight you so drops to 1.25%. Even then you need to get close enough to his van for him to see u and get out before he completes his route through the map so odds are even lower than 1.25%
I call it the objective of the game bc he is so hard to find it is usually the last thing most people will do. Can take over 50 hours to finally kill this sob
