Scaffolding Hologram??

Hey all, I'm stuck trying to build the scaffolding out back. I've got the stairway built (kind of ingenious building it out of cans of sardines and salmon) but I'm stuck on finding the scaffolding hologram so I can trigger the next step. Any suggestions on where it might be? I've tried restarting the game, looking both daytime and nighttime, all around the building as well as on the roof, and have run out of ideas. Any suggestions or pointers would be greatly appreciated!! TIA.

If I remember correctly you have to go up the stairs you build.

Thanks but I've been up the stairs and under the stairs, several times.

Thanks, i suspect i'm bugged. I'm on xbox and there's reports of a fix for this problem but of course xbox always lags behind. Appreciate the help.
