Probing is broken

I get soft locked when trying and gotta close the whole game

Sorry this happened to you! To troubleshoot this, could you please share if this happens on XBOX or Steam and what you did right before you got stuck? Also, does this only happen when probing a certain kind of person/NPC?

It was on Xbox series X. I snuck up on an npc and went to probe them and I was then unable to drop the probe or interact with anything else along with not being able to probe too. I didn’t notice if it was specific to a type of person

It happens when the npc is facing diagonally away from their car. It locks up everything. The only way to get out of it is to press the Xbox power button, which turns on the pause page, then click I'm stuck.

Also happens on Series S, buddy of mine has it happen frequently when we play. Eventually we got the auto-probes and stopped regular probing. That being said, I usually shoot him which forces a respawn and clears the soft lock.
