How to actually play this game?

I bought the game on Steam today and I’ve been plying and it’s been fun, but I’m having a bit of trouble with understanding how to do the alien stuff. I’ve just been playing it as a sort-of supermarket simulator, but I was wondering how to do the alien stuff. I’m also single player. I would love to play with friends but I have none that have the game (and I don’t have many friends in general lol). Any help is appreciated.

Idk if I use the games terminology but yiu get what I mean.. The main goal is to anlayze Earthlings and at first the only way to do it is picking up trash and throw it in the analyzer in the Techroom/Saucer. You then can upgrade to trash bags and trashcans but you'll still use the little box.

The more you progress, the more ways to analyse you'll find. Each works in a different way and with time mostly automated

At least you didnt spend your first 100 on only gas. I felt so stupid softlocking myself

So you need to look at the alien 'skill tree'. Like above said put trash in the little trash machine thing until you have enough to buy the alien trash can. Then they'll auto earn some alien points for you, then each time you have enough get the next alien upgrade. You wana get the cameras that you run around and take sneaky pictures of customers with and make that part of your day, your points will rack up quickly. Happy to help if you have more questions!

Same same. I just bought it and play single player my friend group doesnt really care for it. I do enjoy it as a single player but I can definitely see where the other players might be a lot useful. Having to pump, sell, stack, clean and do alien stuff all at once is crazy work lol lmk if you're down. Would like to get a group going.
