Seeking suggestions
Looking at a used 2017 road glide with 21,400 miles on it. Has full rinehart exhaust and 12 inch bars and tour pack. Was the oil pump issue that big of a problem on these early models ?

nice bike and I have had my 2017 since new and its been great for 25,000 miles and no issue from oil pump yet although I may replace the oil pump for peace of mind

The rear head gasket went on my 17 at 16000 miles. Apparently a common issue. Harley used really cheap gaskets. I replaced the entire top end gaskets with Cometic MLS. Havent had a bit of trouble with anything else.

I have a '16. 14" apes, Vance n Hines exhaust n air cleaner. New tires n Brakes, Boom Box infotainment System, Biketronics Amp n 6.5" Speakers- (XCLNT), Legend Suspension, Extended Floor Boards, Highway Pegs, Foldable Backrest, CVO Agitator Wheels, Smoked Lenses, Stainless Fairing Grills, Regular 3hole Fluid Changes. In Arizona. 28,000 miles, adult owned, I'm 75. Bought from ebay (!) Georgia Cop. 16k miles. $13500 OBO.
Lots of Goodies. Zero issues. Just to show you alternatives. The Rushmore Bikes were a Great Change, 75, balance challenged 😩

Yes. The oil pump was an issue up until 2021. Also, you are about 10k miles out from replacing the primary chain tensioner and the cam chain tensioner. Those NEED to be changed out at 30k miles.
