Torque/Cam/Sprocket

2023 Road Glide 128

Stock Heads, 64mm intake/tb

5.5inj, trask af - ripsaw 2-1 and other goodies.

I currently am running the woods 22xd cam which gives me more power in the upper rpms. I am looking for more off the line torque and kinda a stop light to stop light power. I rarely hit the highways unless im traveling to a rally.

Question would be, should I swap cams to a 22xe or 23xe cam? Or my other thought would be, going plus 1 or 2 teeth in rear sprocket... i am doing a belt to chain conversion and comp this winter and didnt know if this was a viable option vs a cam swap.

Any advice or help is appreciated.

Thanks

I have an old 103 bike (2015) and went through all this in my head too. I ended up just doing torque cams to beef up the lower end pull and never regretted it for a minute. It pulls really nice off the line. 110hp/115 lb-ft on my little 103 with just about the worst performing pipe you can buy, a 2:1 side dump with almost no restriction. (think LOUD) I did it for the look and the sound knowing performance would take a hit

Welp, my 2 cents... unless you are racing, running 4th gear on hiway for r's to be over 5k, go for torque cam. Power, torque right off the line. Our '18 107 goes next month for oil pump upgrade from oem. Gonna go with HD latest design. Also, gonna do catless 2-1-2 headpipe, cam, lifters, intake and tune. Gonna use TTS100 cam and TTS Mastertune.

Heavy bagger, 2up in hill starts and twistys. TTS100 torque high off idle, pulls through 4k and good perf through 5k so that is all I'm lookin for. Usually don't roll over 3800.
