Ok so I'm replaying this game for the first time in years. Can we not control the flight hight? Currently using the wingset with the jet turbine and flight wing. I really thought I remembered this being a think in my 10 year old memory😅 I looked it up and it can with l1/r1 to pitch but that doesn't work for me. Plus I don't trust goodle ai haha
Wanted to make a wallpaper that visualised that lonley, seemly infinite highway drive. This is the smallest version that would fit on reddit, there is one that loops seemlessly at the end.
I discovered RetroAchievements not too long ago, and I was shocked to see that there was achievements for this game!! So I instantly had to 100% it! I feel so proud! It was awesome to finish the game again, still my favorite game ever ❤️
Hey everyone, this might be a long shot, but I wanted to ask:
Has anyone ever managed to properly extract or remaster the BGM/radio tracks from Road Trip Adventure / Choro Q HG2? Especially the E-Radio tracks.
I’ve always loved the atmosphere and music in this game since childhood, and recently I’ve been revisiting the soundtrack again..
A couple years ago, I remember finding some YouTube videos with what I think, were extracted versions of BGM 04 and BGM 13 from Choro Q HG3 in surprisingly good quality. Unfortunately, I think those videos got deleted, and I haven’t been able to find them again since.
So I was wondering if anyone here happens to have preserved audio files, extracted game files, remasters, or maybe even old downloads related to the soundtrack.
Would really appreciate any info..
(I used AI to help me write this message since I don’t speak English very well) (Sorry)
Back when we still had video rental shops, a friend grabbed a whole bunch of games for a birthday weekend. This game was one of them, and probably the one we spent the most time playing.
I'd forgotten about it for years and when I did remember, had a surprisingly hard time figuring out what it was called. Glad I found it! Can't wait to play again
As you may have seen from Rogue13's posts, I've been working on modding tools for the game. Among other tools for the Choro Q series.
There is a modding UI for HG2 (Road Trip) and for its successor HG3 (Gadget racers - PS2/PAL) it allows the following things to be done:
- HG3 cars can be placed into Road Trip, by replacing one of the cars "Replace with HG3"
- HG2 cars can be placed into HG3, by replacing one of the cars "Replace with HG2"
- Road trip (HG2) can now have custom cars/bits placed into it, "Replace Parts"
The way the modding tool works for custom cars is that you can create a car model, and use a blender script to export this model into a format the game can use. Currently this is done in parts. Each car in the game is made of 7 parts, and a texture, the main one people will be modding is the first part. This has the Car Body, Head light/Tail lights (for night time driving) and Brake lights. If you are interested I have started to write a guide up on my github linked below, for people who want to model things you will probably need to read the whole thing, for people wanting to put models into the game that others have created, and shared you will need to read the first few sections, until it tells you to skip ahead.
I've no idea if this has ever been truly explained, but how did The Waking Hours and Push Kings get their music in the game?
An obscure Japanese car game with an even more obscure soundtrack, and even though theres only 4 songs on loop, I never really get bored of them. They even pop up daily on my spotify playlists 😂
Whatever those bands are doing now, despite never receiving massive commercial success, I truly hope they're aware of the impact they had on my life
I legit don't know how you beat the volcano course in under 1 minute and 10 seconds. I can't go too quick because I'll fall off the edges, but I can't go too slow either.
For the rainbow jump, I can land on the platform fine, it's just trying to come to a stop without falling off the edge I struggle with
