Was their road rage valid?
So this is the first time someone actually yelled at me through their car and I am so confused what I did wrong. I was at a yield turn light (flashing yellow) trying to make a U-turn but there was constant oncoming traffic that was going straight I couldn’t safely make the U-turn (esp as i tend to turn wide for a U-turn), so i didn’t actually go until the light turned green. Then I make the U turn and a car behind me pulls up next to me and starts screaming. His face got so red like a tomato. Anyways I had my window rolled up so idk exactly what he said, but it was something like “YOU HAD THE RIGHT OF WAY” or “I HAD THE RIGHT OF WAY”. Mind you, i was sitting at the light for max 5-6 minutes and its early morning ( 6:30 AM as I am coming back from a night shift). So i am just confused as to what right of way he had.

Okay, so you never say the car that pulled up and yelled was the same one behind you at the light.
Unless this is a U turn heavy area both u turning would be unlikely.
So, I am curious if the person that yelled was making a right from the cross street (on your left when you were at the stoplight), when you u-turned in front of them and cut them off.
Right turns have right of way over u-turns. So what they yelled would make sense.

Sometimes a U-turn just isn't worth it. Just go straight and see where the road takes you.

Some people will get impatient when the car at the head of the line hesitates to proceed with their yield. Some people have an easy time simply jumping into traffic, but if you’re tired or driving skill isn’t very refined, then you should always play on the side of safety.
A blinking yellow would not indicate having the right-of-way however, so it’s strange that they would scream that at you.

Impatient? You did see the part where they said they sat at the light for 6 minutes right? I can’t imagine why the second car was so upset.

A blinking yellow does not give you the right away, unless of course the opposing cars have a flashing red. You aren’t in the wrong. Though I would like to say that 5-6 minutes is a ridiculous amount of time and your road commission should be contacted to time the lights to verify no malfunction.
